European taking TYsabri + long term steroid therapy. This seems quiete strange. Here in France i've have been under Tysabri for nearly two years and heard about Tysabri added to Prednisolone only in case of relapse. The effect of long term steroid therapy is harmful. As well in UK(where i lived for ...

friends

Bringing a friend for an infusion is not a problem.(at least here in France, where we're not so underdeveloped ;-) ) and since you're feeling quite anxious you should definitely come with your friend. Otherwise tysa IV is not different from steroid IV. also little corrction: in my message above i say...

I get my fifth on the 25th in March.
No side effects. Not a single relapse so far(compared to 8 attacks for the 2 years before Tysabri) and a better walking, even though the improvement did reach a limit.

MS and fever (personal experience)

Hi As you may have read I have been on Tysa for 20 months and so far so good... Until this week when I have had some fever. This has reactivated my ms symptoms(right leg hobbling) and made me wonder whether i was having a relapse or not. But since this fever has gone i'm feeling better, the symptoms...

TOUCH program. This program is non existent outside of he US, another reason for the cases in Euro. [/quote] As a french arrogant (?) guy I can't let you say this. I don't how it is exactly in the rest of Europe but here in France, Tysabri is prescribed under Touch program: monthly blood test...

Bonjour Belge, At the beginning i was feeling quite impatient like you. I know as well that i am quite lucky amongst Msers Personally i began feeling little improvements step by step: after 2nd infusion i could stay standing up(not walking, just painting my flat) for a quite long time without feelin...

Personally here in France, my neuro who i saw yesterday didn't speak about any break. I'll get my 18th infusion and Tysabri is really meeting its goal: no relapse since April 2007! As well my walking although maybe not as long as i'd like(4 km ,3 miles ie without hobbling is much less than what i us...

From what i read majinua isn't that great, i mean the one you buy illegally, since it is quite often mixed with other "random" products. canabis can be good when administered by chemists who know exactly what they give you. Smoking cigarettes is simply bad. About alcohol i do think it was ...

For the first years of my MS, I often used to speak out about it to relatives or friends. This tend people to see me just as a sick guy. Since that i prefer to not speak about it, unless i have serious problems: relapse eg. Also, i have a very limited list of people to speak about it. Otherwise, if ...

ABX-Tysabri sounds quite risky to me. Tysabri can only be taken as a mono therapy in order to minimize any immunisation problems. I'm not a Dr but from what i know ABX has effects on immune system: it increases T and B lymphocytes' number. (fda) "In the U.S., Tysabri is available only to patien...

Hi Cha As a 12 year MS guy, i have some steroid's experience. The effects of steroids aren't due to vitamin decrease or increase. Steroid side effect are often unbearable and there is nothing else to do than taking them early in order to avoid sleep disturbance while taking it. I have never heard vi...

Hi Veronika, don't worry about your second effect. feeling tired after Tysabri infusion is very common. Some of us experienced it after each infusion. In general, this tends to decrease infusion after infusion. I too experienced it after my very 1st infusion: i slept for the full afternoon following...

Mr accoutant

sorry, 2/43 000= 0,0046% is the chance to get a pml
whereas there are about 39,000 fatal crashes in the US each year
39 000/300 millions americans=0,013% chance to get killed while driving.
so before stopping tysabri, sell you car!!!
