Update: I've had four jabs now and the "advertised" side effects are all there. 8 to 24 hours after the treatment I get headaches, high temperatures and chills and shivering, lasts abot 8 hours followed by a couple of days of feeling completely wipped out. The good news I suppose is that I...

I don't know, I don't think that they'll tell me until the trial is complete, in 12 months or so. The permutations are: 1. was on placebo and now only have mild or no side effects, or 2. Was on real and don't get side effects All that I do know so far is that I'm lucky enough to not get the nasty fl...

Had my first shot of the "real stuff" on Thursday. Apart from a mild headache and feeling a bit wooly headed (and that might be down to the hot, humid weather) I had no reatcion.

Here's to hoping that things continue in this way.

We'll find out soon!

Tokk the last dose of "blind" medication a week or so ago. This Thursday we move on to phase 2, this is where everybody gets medication. This is when I'll find oiut if I was on a placebo or one of the lucky few that gets no side effects. I hope that its the latter, I'm a bit nervous about ...

Thanks for your replies, especially your's Quilter. It's a bit of a worry when I'm on a drugs trail, and thinking that I'm going through all the inconnvienience just to jab myself with saline is very discouraging. Knowing that there are people who have no side effects when taking the medication give...

A point of interest, I'm on the trial for the new Pegylated interferon from Biogen. The study instructions state to take Ibuprofen before and for 24 hours after the jab.

It looks like Ibuprofen is gaining favour

Anybody take Interferon and has no side effects?

Reason I'm asking is that I'm on a trial of the hopefully, longer lasting Interferon 1B. To date I've had 3 injections and experienced nothing like a side effect. This leads me to suspect that I'm on a placebo rather than real stuff, unless of course I'm very lucky and not suspect to any of the publ...

PEGylated Interferon Beta-1a Phase III - anybody on this is

Hi all, I completed a trail with Firategrast a while ago and all was looking good during the trail and afterwards until a few months ago (about 2 years after stopping the medication) when I had a relapse. My neurologist has suggested that I'm eligible to join a trail for PEGylated Interferon, which ...

Hola Isamar y bienvenido, De dónde vienes en España? Soy Ingles, pero viví casi 6 años en Madrid. Yo , me quedan 14 meses sin cambio en mi condición. RuS, I'm sorry to hear about the relapse. I hope the Copaxone is helping. It might be some time before we hear about the outcome of this trial, the GSK website indicates that they are still recruiting so I'd imagine that it will be a few years before we hear the results. Good luck and keep positive.

I had the final medical on Friday. I was assessed as been very much the same as when the treatment stopped a year ago. I still have the same problems as when the trial started but not as bad and if I take things easy I don't feel like there are any problems at all. The doctor is hopeful that they wi...

Great news,

It's around 7 months since I stopped with the medication and things are pretty much as they were back in Nov. I hope that others are seeing similar results
