Dear Amber, I am on Rebif44 for 4,5 years now. I had my 1st attack in October 2006, was diagnosed in December 2006 and started Rebif in February or March 2007. I had 1 relapse in April 2007, which means after a few weeks of treatment, I had some family problems etc. and was very stressed during that...

Hi, that is very interesting... In 2008 and 2009 I posted the experiences my sister made: it was always hay fever OR MS flare, e.g. when she had a flare during the hay fever season, her hay fever disappeared and vice versa ( http://www.thisisms.com/ftopic-6731-0-days0-orderasc-.html and http://www.t...

Hallo @all,

we had to wait > 2 months for the result of the antibody test - it was negative! :D

The result doesn't change her symptoms, but MS seems to be the "better disease"...

I'm relieved :)

I had a quite weak lhermitte's sign for some weeks in 2006, always when I put my head to the chest. It was like a vibration in my lower back and my behind and not painful (lucky me!) and it stopped after a few seconds - until i moved my head again.

NMO / Devic ?!

Hi, my younger sister and me were both dx with MS in 2006. I'm confused at the moment: Some weeks ago my sister went to a hospital to see another neuro bcause her doctor thinks about switching her to tysabri (at the moment she is on Rebif44) - she had 7 excerbations within 1 year and at least 7 new ...

Of course you're right. I forgot the "confirmed"... And I have no ideas about the monitoring of PML or other less severe "side effects" in Europe compared to the US. Are there any tests done for JC virus in the US? Is there a spinal tap before they start tysabri, do you know? I h...

Hi, thank you again... About the B complex I'm not sure, I will have a look when I'm back at home. Concerning D3 and Mg/Ca - it is best to combine D3 and Ca and take Mg some hours later, right?? @gainsbourg: She takes a lot of antihistamines during her "hay fever period" in late spring and...

Thank you so much for your replies. I forgot to mention: My sister and me both take fish oil/omega 3 with vitamin E and also some B vitamins. We should think at least about additional vitamin D, I suppose... There is a lot of information about supplements in this forum I realised... But she really e...

Advice anyone?

Hi, I'm concerned because of my sister... My sister and me were both diagnosed with MS in autumn 2006. We had the same onset, same number of lesions etc. She was 23 and I was 26. We started both with Rebif 44, we both had another flare in april 2007 (ON for her, nystagmus for me) and than everything...

Why R most Tysabri-PML cases in europe?

I'm confused - according to that data... < shortened url > ... 20,200 people in the US are on Tysabri and 16,900 outside US. BUT: There are until now 5 PML cases (Tysabri mono therapy) 1 in the US 4 in Europe (out of the 4 there are 3 !! Germans) What is happening? Better screening for PML risk cand...

Hi burntsienna, do you really need 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen for the 8.8 mcg-injection? Have you tried with less until now? I'm on Rebif for 2 years now and I unfortunately still need ibuprofen, which caused some trouble with my stomach  I do my injection in the evening, take the painkille...

Be carefull, the moist Frio pocket could mold (UGH!)... :)

Concerning Afrika: I made a test with the pocket in our 37°C-room (I work in a lab), and the temperature in the pocket was below 30°C, but not 25°C.
