Sorry, I can't resist- I had the numbness in the butt cheeks Does that make you a numbass? Seriously though, I have perminant numbness in my left hand and forearm and get the pins and needles sensation as a heat induce flare. Jack PS - it makes typing a challange and has apparently affected my abili...

Dad23, Congrats on deciding to take one of the CRABS. I know the idea of having to inject yourself is daunting (I hate it when I have to resort to the dictionary). I've been there, and punched a couple of holes in the wall over it, so don't be afraid of feeling unsure about it. I took Advil before i...

Bubba, Don't feel bad dude. Sooner or later you'll be comfortable injecting without the Rebiject. It took me about six months. Cat is right though. It is much easier to do a straight injection. As for your lump, I had one of those while using the autoinjector. I think I was pinching up the area to h...

Ally! I'm so happy to see post from you. What have I learned since my dx? Appreciated the moments you enjoy, they can be fleeting. Dizziness and numbness do not effect my ability to laugh (thank you Hawkeye Pierce). It helps to have a cute doctor! MRI's are a great opportunity to sleep during the wo...

EyeDoc, I've been of Rbif a litttle over two years. I can only relate what I do, which is based on conversations with my Rebif nurse, and with people in my local MS support group. The bottom line is, it's ok to inject anywhere on your body, so long as you have a sufficent layer of fat to stick the n...

Jimmy,

When last checked my d3 level was 38 ng/ml, with 32 being the low end. I have not had my zinc level tested.

D3 question

Hi gang,

After 6 months of ramping up my D3 intake my blood serum level has finally reached an acceptable level. I'm taking 4000 IU a day. My question is, How much calcium and magnesium should I be taking with that amount of D3?

Thanks for your input!

Lisbeth, When I first started Rebif two years ago my nurse told me it was ok to take an entire week of shots out of the fridge and leave them out. So apparently, short term lack of refigeration doesn't bother it. If your trips to Africa last a week or less the lack of refigeration might not be an is...

Thanks to each of you for your expression of sympathy and concern. It truly makes me feel good to know you each are out there. I've had a lot of support and help from my family, co-workers, and friends, including you guys. I have been seeing a counseler and going to a suicide support group, both of ...

I really can't think of a title for this post.

I haven't been posting much lately because I have had non-MS related issues to deal with in life. All of you here have been so supportive and helpful since I was diagnosed, I feel like you guys are my on-line family, so I want to share what's been going on. A few days before Halloween, my longtime (...

Those are interesting questions Liquid. Just as MS effects each of us differently, so each story of diagnosis is unique. My own diagnosis came very quickly, less than a week after my first serious flare. Basically what happened was I woke up one morning with vertigo and double vision. A visit to my ...

TOL,

I'm having another MRI in a couple of weeks and this one will be head only. Last year my neuro ordered both head and spine because my spine had not been done before. No lesions there and no new symptoms typical of spinal lesions during this year, so we are doing head only.
