Re: getting a mammogram

When I called to schedule I told them my husband would come to help. When I got there the tech said the scheduler was wrong. She gave me a number to call. I haven't called. Have you had a mammogram in an accessible machine?

getting a mammogram

I am in a wheelchair (technically a power chair). Has anyone had a mammogram with an accessible mammography machine?

Re: no more-there's nothing left

" I feel I have no options" I know you feel that you have no options, many of us have felt this way, but what most of us find is that there are ALWAYS options if you want them. Are you looking for advice/options or just to vent? I guess looking for options but I can't imagine you have any...

no more-there's nothing left

I am so weak. I can hardly get to the bathroom. I use a wheel chair outside apartment. Diagnosed 20 years ago. I feel I have no options. My left side is practically useless. I have bad drop foot and fingers curl. I can hardly hold a fork. I can only imagine what it must sound like to my SUPPORTIVE s...

Re: physical therapist in your home

For some reason my notification setting was off - sorry for delay. I am not wanting to go the insurance route in getting a pt. I have done that several times. They mostly have been rude or give the impression that there is no hope. They look at me and ask if I have a shower seat. I am looking to hir...

physical therapist in your home

Does anyone have a physical therapist that comes to your home on a regular basis? I can't go to a facility on a regular basis. I only have my husband to rely on and he can't keep missing work like that. Explaining that to doctors is like speaking a foreign language. I can't be unique in that departm...

anyone like me?

It has been almost two decades. Drugs, no drugs and drugs again. Therapy, therapy and more therapy. Drop foot and though FES gave me hope at one time is helping just a bit. Still better than nothing. Left side of body weak. Hand strength weak. Hands always cold. Fingerless gloves everywhere. Can't c...

Re: week without Tecfidera

Thanks for getting back. I called my doctor on Friday but they already left for the day. I left a message and no one as yet has returned my call. I called the Biogen support line and they advised me to call my doctor's office too.

Re: baclofen

Hi, I do. My feeling is they give you the wrong advice on how to use it. Initially I was told to start at 5mg in the morning then go to 5mg morning at night then go to 10mg and 5mg then 10mg morning and night and then possibly add more. All I could manage was 5mg at night for the first few months. ...

mobility store to try out different gizmos??

Does anyone know of a store to try out different scooters or power chairs? I feel like the only way to see if I really like a scooter is to chance it and just buy it. I have one that is collecting dust and taking up valuable space in a closet despite reading tons of reviews.

circulation?

My hands (especially left) are always cold. I have had numerous episodes of Raynaud. My feet usually get cold at bedtime. I never know what type of pajamas to wear. In bed I'm afraid to move because that is likely to trigger something urging me to pee. It is difficult getting to the bathroom with a ...

Re: toilet

Have you tried Baclofen? It's a muscle relaxant that helps with muscle spasms. Yes, I have tried Baclofen. Once at least ten years ago. It made me too sluggish. Having forgot the first time, I tried it about a year ago but this time the dosage was much higher. And again, I was very sluggish. And I ...

Re: toilet

Hi, As you exercise I presume you are mobile to some degree. What medications do you take and can you give us some background information on your symptoms? I think we all know what your feeling but there are strategies to look at. Regards I am mobile but rely on walkers, scooters, etc. Meds are Nif...
