Hi,

About 3 months. Immediately after it I was worse. It seemed like the HiCy actually gave me an attack before it wiped out my immune system, which the LNP said was possible.

Hi Steven Yeah, this board has really died, especially with the promise of liberating stenosed veins. At first, it was almost hard to believe that I was going downhill despite HiCy, but given that lesion load appears to be inversely related to disability, I wonder what we've done to ourselves by sto...

I am in the same boat as you, Steven. I was considered "relapsing-progressive" when I had the HiCy. For the first 3-6 months after the treatment I got dramatically better. Then I just started to progress without relapses. For a while I could walk about 1/4 mile without assistance. Now, jus...

Hi Keri, It saddens me to hear you are doing so poorly. Unfortunatly, I feel that I am in the same boat as you. For the past 6 months my functioning has been declining. I have been getting weaker (slightly) and much much more spastic. I can't bend my right leg when I am laying flat on my back. No ch...

Wow. No wonder you were in such pain. My count went to 21,000 and boy was I in agony for days- the oxycodone didn't cut it for that pain. Took about 5 days for it to calm down.

No tricks to deal with it. You are VERY very early in the healing. I am almost a year out and the spasticity is still really bad. As I was progressive/RR when I had HiCy, my damage was far beyond inflammation. The inflammation was eliminated, but damage to the myelin and axons will take on the order...

Hi Marc, When you find out can you post it? I'm on Staten Island, and I've been wondering the same thing myself. I've always considered the procedure pretty major. For my own sanity, it is important for me to be very near the doctor doing such an uncommon procedure. Wouldn't want to develop a blood ...

Quite off topic. I was trying to explain the glass half empty/half full concept to my 8 year old. He paused and looked at me very seriously with his big brown eyes and said, "Mommy, I'm thirsty."

I think whether you think it is half empty or half full depends on how thirsty you are.

So glad the chemo is over for you and you can look forward to getting back to your life in a couple of weeks. There is no evidence to support that you have to get really sick for the chemo to work.

Lars, I am with you 100% on this. I think I commented on this on another thread. All of this research has to be pulled together to include all of the facts- not that we know them all yet.

Well, large viral loads and bacterial loads and toxins can cause immunological changes that break down the BBB. So, this could be the endovascular catalyst.

When I brought up to Dr. Hammond that I wasn't sure whether he would prescribe 4-AP for me because it could cloud the Revimmune data, he said that the data didn't matter to him. Getting us better was their only priority.

Chris, I am thinking about every other day. Some studies show it is just as effective.
