PAIN

I am in pretty much life-limiting pain. Not only do I dislike the pain, I very much dislike the solutions from the doctors. I am on 2 different types of narcotics, fentanyl and oxycodone. I have developed addictive behaviors, like making sure that I have my supplies in adequate quantities, etc. Boy d...

Sharing Chiropractic sensations!

Hi folks, haven't been here for a while, but I'm so excited I wanted to share with you. I believe in chiropractic medicine, it's just that I didn't ever really follow a program. I had a REALLY BAD fall last week. I was going to say it was not MS related, but everything is. I tripped over a curb a la...

Re: Does change of diet really work?

Hi Guys!!! WOW, But I just HAD to tell you about my recent experience with diet. I was feeling worse than EVER, but isn't that just how it goes for us? I'm a huge proponent of 'what can we do for ourselves?' I was intrigued by the Wahl's Protocol, a book/concept that came out about a year after this...

Re: Paleo Diet discussion

Hiya Jimmy Legs, I'm so sorry I missed your reply! Anyway, after thinking about it for a bit I jumped full force into Wahls/Paleo (my own mix). Within 3 days I was able to lift my right leg, something I hadn't been able to do in about a year. I was able to get dressed w/o all sorts of gyrations, lif...

solefenacin (Vesicare)

I'm sorry I don't have my resources at hand, but has anyone read the reports of the ingrediant in Vesicare being used to potentially regrow myelin? It was in Science Daily a month or so ago, I tweeted it out, so I'll look up the article. I did a search on here to see if there'd been a discussion, bu...

Oceans of Hope

I just got back from a leg of a circumnavigation of the earth on a 67 ft racing yacht manned by people with MS. There are generally 6 folks with MS, a neuro, and 3 permanet crew members on each leg. I got to sail this boat from the Panama Canal to the GALAPAGOS ISLANDS!! It was my number 1 bucket li...

Re: Has ANYONE reversed their MS BESIDES Dr Wahls?

I was walking with a cane most days, then started to strngthen my legs by swimming while wearing training flippers. The flippers help a lot because it you have to push going down AND up. I started reading about the results peoplewere getting with diet, and decided to give it a try. NO CHEATING. If I...

Oceans of Hope

I don't know if anyone has heard of this organization, but it is worth a search. It's a group formed in the Netherlands by a Neuropsych. He got some backing from Biogen and bought a 67 foot sailboat. His dream, which has strted is to circumnavigate the earth on the boat manned mostly by folks with M...

Re: Paleo Diet discussion

Has anyone wathced Dr. Terry Wahls, and her TEDx video. Ya know with all of the pills, shots etc over the years, following a diet seems like an easy step to try. I have my MS go wild in the past year, and a reactivation of another auto called pemphigus. It's painful and going wild. One of the lesion...

New input on Bladder issues please, and wonderful Danish pro

Hi friends, I did a search for results on bladder problems, I have had many many episodes of loss of control lately, and the discussions I got were quite old, some at least 6 YO. I have gotten a lot of tests done, but the Doc wound up with a shrug of his shoulders. One of the reasons I'm so adamant ...

Re: Moving to Rituxan from Tecfidera

Hi Rituxan folks, I would LOVE to swich to this drug. I was on Tecfidera, and had bad skin reactions, it started up an old auoimmune disease that has been quiet many years called pemphigus. It's really a pain in the neck. I try to exercise in the pool a few times a week, but having open lesions from...

Re: Could hypertension drug stimulate repair in MS?

All of this is back up in the press..I just got an e-mail from the myelin repair foundation requesting funding to help with the joint trial with the NIH. They sure are keeping the name of the drug in question under wraps.

Do you folks still think it's Lisinopril?

pre-gabalin vs gabapentin

Has anyone had BOTH of these drugs and can compare? I have heard that there is a substantial reduction in drug induced fatigue with pregabalin. I have such incredible pain in my legs that I'm on a relatively high dosage of gabapentin, and also gained about 20 pounds during titration to effective dos...

Re: gabapentin

Has anyone out there considered pre-gabalin as opposed to gabapentin? I have read personal accounts that they are not as fatigued and reduced CONSTANT weight gain. I really hate the leg pain, but I am sick of the cumulative effect of all of these drugs increasing weight gain and fatigue. It's not ju...
