Re: EBV targeting treatment yields clinical improvements in
Kronk - that's a great post about keeping EBV levels down. The thing is is it's not just EBV, but the presense of any form of herpes that seems to be capable of triggering MS, Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV), for example, has just as good a case. I realise this thread is about EBV but I think it's time...

Re: EBV targeting treatment yields clinical improvements in
Just found this interesting remedy, "Gene Eden" that claims to remove latent EBV from the body:

Re: EBV targeting treatment yields clinical improvements in
I no longer post very frequently on this forum, but I was so heartened to hear of this study I felt I had to write something. Just to remind everyone that Epstein Barr (EBV) is a form of the HERPES virus, and that other herpes strains, such as Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV) also have an association wi...

Re: Researchers find further evidence linking Epstein-Barr v
Cheerleader asked What reactivates the virus in the cns? Hypoxia makes latent ebv lytic. Researchers found active ebv in the autopsied brains of those with stroke and ms but not normals. Why was the virus active? That's the question. Cheer Actually that's missing the point because we now know the vi...

Re: Researchers find further evidence linking Epstein-Barr v
Absolutely. Vascular problems are clearly a frequent symptom of MS - but not the cause. That doesn't mean that treating MS symptoms is a bad thing. As I've often pointed out on this forum, CCSVI is far too common in healthy people to be the cause of MS. Some studies claim it is a common as being lef...

Re: Researchers find further evidence linking Epstein-Barr v
That 2012 study Cheerleader just quoted was the turning point for me. http://www.everydayhealth.com/multiple- ... in-ms.aspx From that day on I have been completely certain herpes is the primary cause of MS (EBV is just one of several strains of herpes with a strong association with MS). I had being...

Re: Mercury vs. Zinc
PN, before you visit your natropath read as much as you can about the unecessary dangers of large or occasional dose DMPS on the Yahoo Mercury Detoxification Support Forum http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/message/59082 my initial results were from a challenge test (2000mg...

Re: Mercury vs. Zinc
Do not attempt to chelate mercury until you are familiar with the Andrew Cutler protocol. You might think there are lots of alternative sites out there that are all giving pretty much the same advice. Cutler, who himself was very badly damaged by mercury, is the world expert bar none. Never use DMSA...

Re: Herpes treatment research
I have been suggesting for years that MS is caused by herpes. There is growing evidence that various herpes strains have a strong association with MS. Herpes attacks are often preceded by stress, just like MS flare ups. Every few years a new herpes virus is identified. No study as ever found evidenc...

Re: Increased iron accumulation occurs in the early stages
All nerves need iron, oxygen etc. to function. Surely a diseased, inflamed or stressed nerve is far more likely to have problems metabolising iron in the normal way - and the iron may be accumulating as a result of this faulty metabolism. These acccumulations begin right away and gradually build up,...

Re: FDA has changed its tune on amalgam fillings
Ignoring the danger of mercury fillings in 2012 is like ignoring the dangers of smoking in 1952. You can simply put your head in the sand if you want, but now the FDA is doing an about turn, maybe it's a good time to get the fillings removed and then go on to chelate the poison from your body. I bel...

Re: Noel Batten??
Hi Serena, One thing you have to hand to Batten was that his book encouraged MSrs to improve circulation to the brain or spine, by various means such as chiropractor and massage (this at a time when the role of the vascular system in MS was almost universally dismissed). His unorthodox views about t...

Re: Sea anemones venom possible key to MS treatment
I believe these researchers are on the right trail but looking up the wrong tree. The reason various types of poison and venom are partially successful against MS is that they kill or inhibit the herpes virus in it's various forms.

Re: Does stress management slow Multiple Sclerosis?
I believe the reason that stress so often brings on an attack of MS is the herpes connection. What usually precedes an attack of herpes? Yes, you guessed it - stress. Herpes often remains dormant in the ganglia of nerve tissue. My theory is that the mere presence of the inactive herpes virus "s...
