Re: THE WORLD'S FIRST WEARABLE STOCHASTIC RESONANCE DEVICE is helping me walk better and reducing my pain - amazing!
Hi Elliot, I'm glad you're finding the device of use. May I ask a couple of questions about how you were before you started using this? Prior to using this- Were your toes curling under at all? Could you reach your own toes to cut the nails ? When you put a sock on, did the foot lift off the floor o...

Re: The NERVGEN-291 miracle!
I think we have to remember that (if this works) we could possibly remyelinate damaged pathways. It doesn't imply that the causative agent is eliminated. That's a problem that still needs to be solved. If the causative agent turned out to be EBV, then you would still need to treat that. Nonetheless,...

Re: NEW Cheap Non-Military Exo-Skeleton - Kickstarter
Hi, I definitely think you should try before you buy. Lifting your whole leg off the ground depends on a range of things. Not least is how strong you are on the standing leg. Your leg action really starts up in your torso. When your psoas contracts it acts like a pulley, then your iliacus muscles (t...

Re: NEW Cheap Non-Military Exo-Skeleton - Kickstarter
It will depend on how your leg operates without it. If you imagine just the bones of your leg and look at where they meet behind the kneecap , you would see both the tibia (lower leg) and the femur (upper leg) have two bumpy bits on the end. They aren't symmetrical and are slightly offset. So when y...

Re: NEW Cheap Non-Military Exo-Skeleton - Kickstarter
I can see what it's doing, but a lot of MS walking problems relate to dorsiflexion (the ability to lift the front o your foot so you don't trip). That depends on a muscle called tibialis anterior being able to contract and its antagonist, tibialis posterior relaxing). Additionally, you need your cal...

Re: Pilates
As I have been doing Pilates three times a week for 20 years, I thought I had seen all the variations. Whilst I have nothing against this Pilates suspension method, there is no way that I would consider it to be Pilates. They are using some modified exercises that come from Pilates but it's not Pila...

Re: ATA188
Maybe. It's hard to stop a speeding train. They started with people with advanced EDSS. Once motor problems are established they can take on a life of their own. Hence, people doing exercise or some manual therapies sometimes see improvement. Why didn't measure fatigue or cognitive issues. It's not ...

Re: ATA188
Hi, "The study did not meet the primary endpoint of confirmed disability improvement (CDI) by expanded disability status scale (EDSS) at 12 months compared to placebo." Frankly, it's an absurd end point to pick. Most confirmed disability relates to motor pathway damage. That arises as a co...

Hi,
I think so. Always work from evidence. Opinions are cheap and plentiful.

Has either neurologist done a recent MRI? Did it show any signs of progression?

Hi,
I would see the doctor. Ischemic change implies a problem related to oxygen availability. That can have many origins.
You need to address what the underlying issue is... and definitely don't guess.

Re: TPP, alithiamine, Q10 & ALC for fatique
Hi Dim, I don't doubt you have good reasons for introducing all those things, but most are not part of how I address fatigue. With so many things there is a risk that a graph of the dose benefit ends up looking like an inverted U. The issue is being sure that isn't happening. A big difference betwee...

Re: TPP, alithiamine, Q10 & ALC for fatique
Hi Dim, It may not be true that most MSers take those supplements for fatigue, you might have got those ideas from some things I wrote. I've elaborated on it in a book I wrote. The book is called Multiple Sclerosis: One Owner’s Manual. https://www.amazon.com/Multiple-Sclerosis-One-Owners-Manual/dp/0...

Hi,
This is going to be trial and error. I'd still try a full sheeps wool topper over the mattress. A gel pad wont breathe but the wool will.
Have you tried magnesium glycinate? It should help dilate the blood vessels which might help your symptoms.

Re: justi5's antibiotic log
Hi, If your worried about MS, it would best to see a neurologist and have the appropriate tests. Early MS symptoms are common to a number of illnesses. You can't use them to self-diagnose. You're obviously trying to be thorough. I'd see a neurologist to be certain you are not heading in the wrong di...
