More than lesions coming and going I think it is more of a function of imaging technique and savy of the technician performing and aligning new images to old ones. So, much of what "changes" actually does not as it just appears as such on interval exams. I disagree to an extent that lesion...

Lyrica is similar to neurontin, but has a longer half life, so it might help. unlless you have a brain completely full of ms, it is likely not the direct cause of your fatigue, more than anything else it is sleep related. if you have serious restless legs mirpex or requip might be the ticket.

does your dose of neurontin make you sleepy? If it doesn't you are probably not getting an adequate blood level. You can ony metabolize about 2000mg at a time, anymore wont do anything. If a hefty dose like that doesn't make you sleepy you may lack the enzyme needed to metabolize it across your guy....

Thank you for that post. I am sorry to learn that you were on the Tovaxin trial. Ultimately, its concept is great, but its application is far from refined...This is why I think no one with the MS should tral a med, no matter how promising it may be, just because it is an unknown, and many of us with...

I do work with many patients with MS. I see the effects Tysabri has. PAtiennts that were coming into the office 2-4x per year with attacks are no longer having multiple attacks per year. I have even seen some, i emphasize some patients have sligh improvements in their EDSS scores. I know that this i...

You put that very well. I just think in terms of treating MS there is not a lot of room for letting up on the disease, just becuase there is so little we have had to treat it up until this point. How sure can we be that Tysabri won't make neurodegeneration worse? Messing up with the integrins is not...

I disagree with elements of both of the aove posts. I agree that statistics can absolutely be manipulated. 78%,67%,57%, 49% whatever. In a large statistical sample Tysabri is absolutely effective in reducing relapses and reduing MR progression. Is it 100% effective, or does it work for everyone and ...

I stand corrected you are absolutely right. Me making that statement was not correct, as Tysabri is not and has not been compared against anABCRs. The BEYOND, BENEFIT, and PRISM trials all showed about ewual effectiveness across the ABCR meds. You can easily any of these trials online if you google ...

MS Tysabri PML JC BK and LPs

In patients on Tysabri whom do not develop neutralizing antibodies it is at least2.5x more effective than the ABCR drugs. This has been established though the trials that initially brought Tysabri to market in 2005. Patients that develop neutralizing abs to it will obviously get no benefit from it. ...

People that are immune suppressed have a higher risk of developing PML , and you can tell by history and by bloodwork should not be on Tysabri period. Potentially immune compromised patients are the only ones I would ever do twice yearly LPs on, if they insisted. I dont think TOUCH program would enr...

it has been reported to Biogen. Those patients were all high risk and now off treatment, obvously. Additionally, the main reason why the neuro is not giving his patients Tysabri, at least at that point was because he was disenrolled from the TOUCH program. As I am sure you know all patients on Tysab...
