Ahhh... it helps patients that don't really require help and does not help at all those that do. Pffff...Most patients fully recovered, but those with more advanced forms of the disease were unable to.

Re: Is it too late?
Dear gymbuff, don't blame yourself about "willpower". Most of the aforementioned methods are practically not effective in terms of mobility . So, it is not lack of willpower but effectiveness. They may indeed have a positive outcome for some people, but only studies could shed light on wha...

Re: Multiple Sclerosis Drugs May Not Delay Disability
I think they are two times more idiot than I initially thought. If you need to make billions of $$$$ by making useless drugs, why the hell do you make them injectable with nasty side effects? Some sugar would suffice!

Re: MORE SPINAL CONNECTION---THIS GUY HIT IT LUCKY!!!
Am I the only guy that does not feel excited at all about this story? Is the conversion of a healthy man into a carrot chasing donkey a success? I still have a strong belief that physical "therapy" in neurological conditions is a huge cow, that eats disabled people and generates cash to th...

Re: Did your eye sight improved after angioplasty?
My perception of colours improved significantly after PTA. I realized it almost immediately after the procedure, just the following morning. I used to see as if the "colour setting" was set to 75%, instead of 100%. I used to think that my eyesight was ok, because I had no second pair of ey...

The title is 100% misleading! They are not really walking and they are definitely not running! It's a shame... There will be a walking speed increase of 0.000000000000000000000000001% in paralyzed people during the next 41237844 billion years! WOW! THAT is science!

Re: When do you need steroid treatment?
Steroids are considered to speed up the recovery of some relapses, if taken early i.e. during the first 15 days from the onset, but there is not a definite rule. They don't seem to affect the degree of recovery from a relapse, just the duration. Sometimes, of course. They should be taken if the symp...

Re: A worry
Why cure it, in the first place? Not curing but "managing" it is far more profitable. Don't hurry to blame me! No, I am not into stupid conspiracy theories! I am a strong believer of "if it works, don't fix it" and "DMDs" already make some billions of $. Give me a good ...

Re: Mequon company may be on the verge of CURING MS
Do you really believe that remyelination is the answer to MS? I strongly doubt the demyelination is the real culprit in MS. Remyelination could help in other demyelinating diseases, but MS is demyelinating, neurodegenerating, vascular and even more.

It depends on what they mean when they say "curing". It is the 2637218976th time MS is cured, and this makes it the most cured disease of the 21st century. Good work!

Re: "Discovery could halt MS progression"
Searching for other papers from Dr Petratos, I can't help but say that the whole research smells like EAE. This is not an optimistic indication, because we know that EAE is totally unrelated to MS. Only the future will tell.
