Had ben on betaferon for about 4 yrs, switched to Avonex after two relapses, then had two bad relapses within three months. will be having my third this sunday. People bring in gameboys etc, but generally we all chat!
I've had no side effects like I used to get from the interferon. I did however get some infections this week, ie ear/throat/eye. I presume they are both interlinked. Still, beats relapses!

Had my second infusion on sunday morning. After the first one I was wiped out, muscle and joint pain that had gone away came back with a vegenace. The second one has been easier -and I drove a roundtrip of 6 hours on monday, which I haven't done since my last relapse in Nov so perhaps things are loo...

re claustrophobia and MRI, as someone has already said, close your eyes before you go in and keep them closed is def the way to go, I get my steroids/tysabri through canulas, not half as sqeamish when they are in my upper arm, back of hand ..ewwww.. would both be really upsetting for you?

Had my first infusion last sunday, was absolutely wiped out the next day ,hot and cold ,v tired and muscles sore all over. Hope this will not be a regular occurance, as I had to miss work on the Monday.

it. I think one of the biggest problems with the drug to date is that the long term effectiveness and risks simply aren't known at this time. Harry that's my biggest fear to be honest, I have a lot of trust in my neurologist and both she and I feel this is the best option open to me currently..but...

soles of both feet feel like they are badly sunburnt, all the time, gabapentin helps tone it down. Left side muscles all tight (the "ms hug" ) amiltriptilne helps. Legs muscles get very very sore by the end of the day, like I'd been out on the horse for hours(I wish!!) Scalp-of all places,...
