Re: Generics, 40 mg. Copaxone and Teva

I ordered my 20 mg Copaxone thru Aetna Tuesday, received it yesterday and didn't have any problems. The nurse did call back and ask if I was interested in the 40 mg. dose. I said no I want to keep doing what I'm doing since it seems to be working and I don't want to change anything. I guess I'll see...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

See what happens with a numb hand when I type... Anyway, I didn't feel as well after last winter. The ultrasound showed blockages last year but now I feel better. My question is -- Have there been any improvements to the ultrasound diagnostics? Are you seeing a better correlation between the ultraso...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

Hi Dr. S, I thought I'd add my update and I also have question. You found and treated a web in my RIJV in February 2010. The procedure was a success and benefits have held for the most part. My feet are now warm, hands are warmer, MS hug is gone, my back pain has improved, and most important my gait...

Re: Dr. Sclafani's CCSVI Case Studies

Thanks so much Dr. S and NHE and Cece. What a great idea. This is an amazing collection of works. Each case is so different and brings something new to the table. I know nothing about publishing, but isn't there some way to bring this collecion to the attention of a wider audience? You would think t...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

Dr. S,
Are you still surprised at the types and variety of problems you're finding, 3 1/2 years after performing your first ccsvi procedure?

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

That was one of the best case studies we've been shown. Multiple images from multiple procedures. In Spring 2010 she became the second patient of an early adopter of interventional treatment of ccssvi It doesn't seem good to be among a doctor's first patients. Learning curve. actually it is not goo...

Re: My Two Year Follow-Up with Dr. Sclafani

Hi Thekla, Thank you. I’m happy to be an instigator, but there were three of us – BestAdMom, Javaneen and me. It was a combined effort. We each emailed the doctors on a list mostly created and maintained by BestAd. And Dr. S. responded to BestAd’s email, so she’s should get the recognition. Along wi...

Re: My Two Year Follow-Up with Dr. Sclafani

Thanks Cece. I should have mentioned that as part of Dr. Sclafani's scheduled protocol, I also had a Doppler check-up in August 2011, three months after the second procedure. The findings were the same as last week. Both veins patent, with some reflux but in light of how well I was feeling, there wa...

My Two Year Follow-Up with Dr. Sclafani

So I thought I'd just share a success story -- 2 years and counting, fingers crossed. I was originally treated by Dr. Sclafani on February 24, 2010. Dr. S. found a large collateral vein in my RIJV, which was the result of a horizontal septum that almost totally blocked blood flow. The septum was bal...

Thanks Renee. I'll look also and post the link if I find it.
I don't know much about patents but I was assuming Copaxones new double-dose formulation 3 times a week (if it's approved) would extend their patent since it's a new formulation?

Hi Renee, Would you happen to have a link to that study from last year's meeting? I missed that. I decided, on my own, to go every other day June 25, 2010. Then I went to three days a week this past March. It wasn't the cost so much as bad lipoatrophy and at some point I was going to run out of inje...

Hi Doc, Was just reading NotJohnson's Brooklyn Bound post, and NormB said his lower back pain improved after the procedure. I noticed my lower back pain dramatically decreased -- I hate to jinx it and say disappeared -- the day after my May 6 procedure. My back issues started with the onset of my di...
