Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I have strong reason to disbelieve Buffalo's results but I am saying that in this case I find False Creek's financial incentive and skimpy relationships with others in the field a confidence booster. I would have thought that differences in results would be d...

But Bob, surely Buffalo's (non-profit) friends-with-Zamboni status is trumped by False Creek's financial incentive? No idea exactly how positive Buffalo will be, but I've a feeling it will be on the positive side of positive, but I don't have any suspicion that they might be biased. Double blind is ...

Harry - you drink lots of Green Tea, I do too, but do you know how effective it actually is in removing iron? There are papers on the subjectt but I have no subscriptions.. And Gainsbourg, or anyone who knows in fact, 'non-free' iron occurring naturally in foods, you say that there is no danger of i...

Specifically I find False Creek info most interesting because, when they are comfortable with their CCSVI recognition numbers, my personal opinion is that those are going to be the most believable numbers we're going to hear in the foreseeable future. Hey Bob. Why do you think that the False Creek ...

Glaxo don't market an MS drug yet do they? For sure, from now on, in the light of the (anticipated) results of the Buffalo CCSVI trial, all research by all the pharmaceutical companies and all the universities into drugs which reduce relapse rates will be replaced by research into repairing the dama...

That's about as positive a tone as you could get. They wouldn't possibly be talking about the phase II studies if the results weren't very much backing up the CCSVI hypothesis. That's good. Perhaps I can start getting excited about this now. I'm really terrified of catheters in veins though.

Hello. People on this forum are generally sold on the CCSVI theory. You'd be advised to get your hopes up here. Me, I'm a little more sceptical. I'd wait until the Buffalo study results were released, see if most MS patients do have venous problems, and then start thinking about getting my hopes up....

I've been looking forwards to a discovery like this. From a completely unscientific point of view. going on all I've read, I've always thought that an EBV vaccine has a chance of ending the relapses.. EBV resides in B cells. B cell depletion therapy is highly effective with MS, 100% of us are infect...

We have to be really careful, knowing that strokes are relatively common and lots of people visit this board.. But I'm sure that you know that.

bestadmom, I think that if the Buffalo results are positive for CCSVI, then NOTHING will trump CCSVI. Not Biogen or anything. There is no chance that "myelin repair" could trump "stopping the progression with CCSVI treatment". How many years to wait for myelin repair ? And will ...
