solumedrol

I get the anger thing even without steroids. I have spoken to my neuro and he believes it is pseudobulbar affect. I also cry and laugh innappropriately, but more the anger that I feel is bothersome, as it seems to affect my relationships more. It is hard to get people to understand, family expeciall...

solumedrol

Glad you are feeling better. Stay on your meds-especially a drug like celexa-you can't suddenly stop those drugs or that alone can have terrible side effects. Hang in there.

side effects

I am trying to imagine having MS, maybe to the point I need aids to walk, unable to work, then I develop liver disease due to an interferon that nobody mentioned I could get. I think I would be a little upset. If I have to have MS, well thats fine, I will deal with it the best I can. But if you are ...

I totally agree Harry, and the thing with Merck is just beginning. I agree they should be punished for not imforming the public about the risks of taking the NSAID's. But I have to say, even my neuro who I respect, never once mentioned the bad side effects I could get from copaxone, not even the one...

Merck

Just so you know, the client will never collect what was awarded in the Vioxx lawsuit, as in many others. Even though that is what was awarded, what will be collected will be determined by that states tort reform laws. There are caps on non-economic's and pain and suffering. The actual recovery will...

solumedrol

Sounds like typical side effects to me. I took solumedrol monthly, 5 doses a month, for almost 2 years. I got to the point where I had to take xanex a couple of times a day while I was taking the solumedrol. Greatly reduced the anxiety, anger, ect. I would suggest you ask for some xanex. I know solu...

exacerbation

I agree-either get a new neuro or bring in the above information to see if he changes his mind. This seems to be a big problem-that depending on the belief of your Doc, perhaps you will get treatment and perhaps not. I never have sensory problems, which led to much confusion on the part of the 4 yea...

I think this is another are in which Doc's are not always in agreement. I had a 5 day course with my first diagnosed exacerbation-started on betaseron and over the next 6 months got worse with new symptoms-symptoms included difficulty walking, severe spasm, slurred speech, dificulty swallowing, faci...

thyroid

FYI, copaxone can cause thyroid disease, both hyper and hypothroidism, as well as goiter. I have developed a goiter but thus far, thyroid hormones ok.

My Mother got hypothroidism from a cardiac drug called cordorone or amiodarone. No one else in my family has it.

exacerbations

cold and flu=exacerbations over heated=exacerbations I just recently joined a gym, and I find that SOMETIMES I start to have weakness in left leg when on the treadmill-have to stop and use the bike just because I won't fall on the bike-goes away later when I cool down-does not happpen every time. Wh...

sleep study

When I was really symptomatic with MS the first couple of years, I had sleep apnea and a sleep study confirmed this. I was on Bi-pap at night for awhile-but I have not had that problem in a few years now-I think this was 2002. The study itself is harmless, and although the Bi-pap sucks, I did finall...

How wonderful Carolsue-My coworkers are who I receive donations from. One of the paralegals I work with donates $100 every single year. Glad to hear you are going to participate as well.
