I thought I got the 250 nmol/L from some research paper but I can't find it now. I guess I'll try getting 15 minutes of sun per day this summer and check it again in September. If it's a good level, I'll take the 5000IU daily through the winter and see if I maintain it.

Re: I buy from USA

I used the Nature Made 5000IU. I took 2 per day for about 3 months and had my blood tested. It was only 49, within "normal range," but well short of the 250 I was shooting for. So I don't think the 5000IU is accurate at all. Hopefully someone knows of a supplement that is as potent as adve...

All 16 MS patients fulfilled the diagnosis of CCSVI (median VH = 4 and median VHISS = 9) and none of the HC (Table 1) (P < 0.001, Fisher's exact test). This means a CCSVI prevalence in this small group of MS patients of 100%, with prevalence of 0% in HC.
Blinded.

I'm curious, what say the various researchers who have successfully published studies demonstrating their inability to find CCSVI at all?

uprightdoc, do you think it's possible CCSVI could alter CSF flow/pressure enough to cause syringomyelia? I have CCSVI and idiopathic syringomyelia (T7-T9). I do not have Chiari or tethered cord syndrome.

It also found that far more patients with advanced MS—some 80 percent—had CCSVI, which suggests “CCSVI may be a consequence rather than a cause of MS.” I'm not understanding why it is assumed MS has to be the driver here. If MS and CCSVI are indeed correlated in this way, why is it not possible tha...

BadCopy, what do you think about encouraging him to join Dr. Hubbard's IRB study? It would sure be nice to have as much data being tracked as possible.

Mark, the Hubbard Foundation's protocol includes doing the Haacke MRI which is more about assessing and tracking iron accumulation in the brain. Whether it is of value remains to be seen but the point is this is not just a standard MRI tracking lesions. The Hubbard group wants to know if CCSVI treat...

It was so interesting hearing that U of M IR (Dr David Williams) explain his reasons for skepticism because they've been among my questions from the beginning ie..... every aspect of the human anatomy and function was created with extra capacity in order to compensate for a good deal of age and wea...

Colros, you should really read all of Rici's posts here before forming an opinion. It's clear from your post that you don't have any idea what's going on in Rici's case.

I'm also wondering if this is why the stenoses seem to progress. Some studies are correlating age and degree of disease progression with severity of stenoses. Could it be that the years of insult produced by reflux and altered hemodynamics resulting in slow, ongoing collagen shift is what accounts f...
