Re: HELP!!! First day on Tecfidera. EEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!
Hi, I'm up to Day 5 now and after speaking with my neuro she said to take the Aspirin regardless of my other condition and it hasd made a huge difference. I am also taking a long acting antihistamine with the Tecfidera and the flushing and itching have subsided with each day. She also told me to not...

Re: Headaches
Hi,
I am only on Day one but along with the unbelievably itchy and flaming red 'flushing' I also got a cracker of a head ache. I took paracetamol and it did nothing for it
Sorry to be of no help but at least you know you aren't alone

HELP!!! First day on Tecfidera. EEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!
OMG this stuff is diabolical! I had my first dose this morning of the 120mg capsule and made sure I ate a high protein breakfast of bacon, sausage, fried egg and toast before taking it. I can't take Aspirin though due to another medical condition. Thanks for the diet tips ;) The nausea kicked in abo...

Re: Aubagio
Hi, I have just started Aubagio this week after being drug free for 18 months. I was on Cladribine but Merck pulled it from the market leaving me and about 1500 others in the Cladribine cohort up the creek while we waited for the release of BG12. But BG12 is being delayed again and again so my neuro...

Re: Does surgery typically worsen MS symptoms?
Hi, After a bad accident I had spinal cord compression at C4 and C5 and had major neuro surgery. I had the discs at C3,4,5 removed and replaced with titanium cages and then had the three vertebrae plated together with a titanium plate and screws. It didn't cause any complications with the MS at all....

Re: monthly cost of Ampyra in Australia
I don't know Becia but my neuro did indicate a LOT and not affordable without PBS subsidy. There is no Product Familarisation Program with this one as there is with Cladribiine so if we can't pay, we don't get.
Hope you are doing OK,
Belinda

Hi Becia, I am on Cladribine and have taken my first 5 day course. As you are probably aware Merck has with drawn the drug from the market and no new people will be able to get on it now :-( I am just hoping that for those of us already on it that we will be able to continue our two year course of t...

Hi, I live in Australia and started on Cladribine earlier this month. I have been in touch with Merck and they are withdrawing the drug world wide but are in talks with the Therapeutic Goods Administration here to ensure that those of us already on the drug will be able to finish our two year course...

Hi, I describe MS Fatigue as if someone unexpectedly snuck up behind me and injecte3d me with horse tranquilizer. It comes on very quickly. My mouth goes all slurry and even trying to think let alone talk is impossible. I drop every thing I touch, I can't stand up at all as my legs go to mush and I ...

To me it seems like a seizure disorder. Can you ask your neurologist to run an EEG on her? Seizures don't always involve unconsciousness and twitching. There can be partial seizures or absence seizures which sounds a bit like what your wife may be experiencing (but hey, I'm no doctor!) These can co-...
