Good luck, Lew. It will be interesting to see if he thinks he can improve upon this. I know he looked at mine when he was in there, but like with you, he didn't seem to find anything wrong with the azygous.

UHC covered 100% of mine a year ago.

Keep in mind it's probably more related to the details of the actual policy your employer has with the insurance company, than the insurance company itself.

Mano, If it is the stent causing the issue, it will go away--eventually. It took me 6 months or so before I could brush or wash my hair with my right arm. I didn't get mine checked out because I knew it was a common complaint, and at that point I was really tired of seeing folks in the medical profe...

I have my one year follow up with him in a few weeks, and I can ask more about it at that time. My guess is that Dr. Dake can see, and possibly treat, him because the gentleman DOESN'T have a MS diagnosis. He may have some collapsed and obstructed veins, and hey, Dr. Dake treats those sorts of thing...

There are a lot of people who it does not appear will be helped by this treatment. I think there is a big confusion between ms symptoms and ms progression. If your progression is stopped it is a huge help. All of dake's patient get a follow up mri 2 months after liberation. I'd like to see a paper ...

It depends on what you mean by "cost." The hospital billed the insurance company approx $120K for all services. The insurance company reimbursed them maybe for a third of that amount. I didn't pay a nickel.

Topper, With all due respect, Rokkit's post was spot on. You are correct that this is one of the most active forums recently. However, I would hardly call the majority of what is being posted anymore is "news" or is useful. Compared to what the forum was 6 or 8 months ago, the forum is ful...
