Excellent discussion. A person does *not* need to have a Twitter account to read the thread.

URGENT: Americans: Trump & R's are trying to change the ADA

Please call your Congressman/woman and ask them to vote "NO" on this ADA measure. The proposed changes have already passed the committee and will next be voted on by the full Congress. The biggest draconian change will allow companies not to have to provide accessible facilities as they mu...

For Copaxone users: IPIR - Immediate Post-injection Reaction: * Happens when medication is mistakenly injected into a vein (instead of tissue) and goes directly to heart within ~30 seconds. While scary, is not life-threatening. Symptoms can last up to ~30 minutes and include flushing, anxiety; feeli...

Re: Transverse myelitis - anyone?

Welcome, thethdj, So sorry you had an attack of TM. My attack of TM caused the infamous 'MS Hug.' You're definitely not alone in your fear. One strategy that helps me deal w/ fear is to compartmentalize it ... I put mine in a small box in a far, far corner of my mind so that it can't easily cause ad...

Re: Well, optic neuritis is setting in.... yayyy

I'm taking Levetiracetam (genric for Keppra) for bilateral ON pain, and it has saved me from scratching out my eyes. My dose is 1,000 mg tablets, up to 2 tablets twice a day as needed. I've been on Lyrica for a long time for neuropathic pain (electrical zings and burning) on my torso and legs, and i...

Re: For those of you with pain...

Hi and welcome to TIMS, So sorry you have pain. My pain, mostly related to the "MS Hug" (lesions at T5-T7) is my worst symptom, but I also have horrific anal pain that my doctors assume is MS-related because X-rays didn't show any structural problems. As you may already know, there are two...

Re: USC Study: Fasting three days renews entire immune syste

Cece, thank you for your thoughts. :)

Kronk, worded another way, fasting wasn't a good idea for me. Thank you for your thoughts, all the links, and information.

Hopefully, pwMS will become informed and will talk to their doctors before fasting for any reason.

USC Study: Fasting three days renews entire immune system

A warning for others to consider: Because I'm now having a bad exacerbation with new symptoms, I wish I had known about this study before I had fasted for several three-day periods over the past three weeks which I had done in order to give my digestive system periods of needed rest due to debilitat...

Jl, I accidentally clicked the wrong PM button in your post--wish I hadn't because the correct button would have left a copy in my PM folder. Sorry for setting off alarm bells, so to speak.
