Re: oxybutynin

I started out at 4 inches and it helped with leg spasms but when I went to 6 inches it stopped the getting up 5-6 times a night to pee. The leg spasm was orginially stopped if I let my leg slide of side of bed for a few mins. I had forgotten having them previous to raising my bed.

Re: Disposing of Needles

Walgreens has the needle clipper, works great and prevents me from sticking myself accidently.

Re: oxybutynin

Have you tried Inclinded Bed Therapy? Basically it involves raising the head of your bed 6 inches. This works for me. Before I started this about 1 year ago I was getting up 4-5 times every night to pee. About 1 week after I started this I stopped getting up. Most of time I get up once and some time...

Re: provigil for fatigue study showed no improvement in fati

Provigil worked fantastic for me. I would alway drift off while driving. I drive alot, 30-40K per year for work. Most trips are 2-3 hours. It got to the point were I would have to stop and get out walk around and even nap. I started taking Provigil and it worked great. No more drifting off while dri...

Re: injecting without auto inject?

Shucks, I inject manually in the stomach and thighs. It only needs to get under the skin so it can be done at any angle 10-45 degrees. I use the auto on my hips(butt) because I don't have enough control/dexterity to manually inject back there. Manual is better because I can inject slower which decre...

Re: Experiences with Amantadine

The dogs do need a walk or two and taking the kibbler along is a good job. I only started the provivigil when the fatigue was so bad that I would doze off driving. It sounds like you don't need that. I have found a dietary supplement "B-12 Energy Now!" , which is packets of B-12 that can b...

Re: Walking Boots For People With Footdrop ??'s

Try one of these: http://www.x-strap.com/. I have one of these on the 3 shoes that I wear. They are not fantastic but they do help support my ankle also. They are cheap compared to any other medical equipment. And if I didn't like it, I would only be out $35-40 US. But, instead I bought 3 of them. M...

Re: Experiences with Amantadine

Froggie, I haven't taken Amantadine before. I looked it up and I could not find any thing that would indicate that it was efective for fatigue. Fatigue was never mentioned. I took Provigil for fatigue until insurance co stopped covering it, it was excellant for fatigue. They stopped covering it so I...

Dr Sclafani, The one incision is the best idea yet. Only 1 stick is way better than an IV in the arm and the access for the sheath in the groin. When the guide wire is high up and touches something(nerve), it is not painful but rather a crackeling sound and an uncontrolled twitch. It is a weird sens...

I had lots of pain during my recent azygous balloning. It was very painful during the inflation of the ballon. I was given 75 mg of fentanyl on 4 seperate times during the procedure. It probably helped, but it was still very painfull. My chest was very sore for a couple of days. I had hiccups for th...

I was getting up 5-6 per night no matter what I did. 9 months ago, I started IBT, at first 4 inches than after 2 months, I went up to 6 inches. After this, I only get up once, about 530am and sometimes never get up. When I did the CCSVI procedure the last time in Sept 2010, I started sleeping flat a...

Nina, My neuro precribed it and I got it from a local compounding pham. I now take Ampyra which is cheaper through my insurance. Kind of crazy since the Amprya is $1100+ per month and the 4ap is $125. The insurance covers Ampyra with a copay of $20 and will not pay for 4ap since it is not an approve...

I believe the filling defect is a detached part of the valve. Dr Sclafani, Those are beautiful images. Is the use of high pressure ballon...
