Re: Lhermitte's sign. Is it a relapse?

I also agree that just having Lhermittes does not automatically mean you have an active lesion, as I have had Lhermittes at the same time as an MRI with nothing active and no change in lesions over a 2 yr period. But also, it is possible for there to be symptoms and progression without an active les...

Re: O.N. symptom relief, is there any?

thanks for the responses nooper and LR. the pain really is something and typically Ibuprofen does not help. it feels like it may be clearing a bit...pain is much less and the eye disturbance is coming and going. whatever it is this is always scary stuff with the eyes. I will check out the cooling ma...

O.N. symptom relief, is there any?

Just taking a stab at this one. Having a little optic neuritis flare up. Can't easily find on the board by searching so I am posting...anyone have any interesting advice for soothing some of the pain and odd vision associated with an ON flare up? Probably not I know, but worth asking this smart and ...

I'll keep you all posted for sure. Right now I am just trying to figure out what the shot map looks like for 3x weekly. Certainly Teva won't be happy - a former 3.9 week supply will now be a 10 week supply!

reducing frequency of copaxone shots - starting today

I thought this was interesting. Today I had a neurologist appt. Had an MRI on Saturday. So we were to go over that. There was no change in the MRI (brain, spine, upper cervical) - good! 3rd or 4th straight with no changes. I brought up some lipotrophy on my arm and leg - I've been on Copax for 3 yrs...

thanks for posting this. this is in fact ridiculous that Teva/Shared Solutions did not reach out to all their users. They can send me a flyer by mail every other week but they can't tell me about this recall? And, FDA, WTF, you can't enforce this action? Never woudl have known if it weren't for this...

this was a double bummer for me too - it was "oh no! he's gone" and then "oh, no! he died from MS?" What does that even mean? It scares me whatever it means.

Magnesium is known to help with this too. Per another string on this board, I started taking Natural Calm, a powdered magnesium supplement. I think it helped me and now I take it every day. Looks like the other suggestion has some Mag in it too. http://www.petergillham.com/wp/2009/11/natural-calm/ g...

Piece on PBS News Hour

there was a good 10 minute piece on News Hour that focused on new collaborative efforts in disease research. Much of it focused on Scott Johnson at the Myelin Repair Foundation:

mine is much like Kirsty's. It goes away after a few seconds, down my less-than-perfect left leg only. In my case, this is not indicative of an active lesion as JL says. Coincidentally, I had an MRI w/ contrast during a spell of l'hermitte's with no hot lesions detected. Right now I associate it wit...

This is sad. I am thinking baout the same thing for me and for the wellbeing of my family. Life Insurance policies should really be able to distinguish between accidental death and MS. Plus, very few actually die from their MS. Very sad.

Been on the stuff 1.5 years and in my experience the itchiness goes away as do the red welts. however, the stinging does not stop completely but tends to vary from day to day. It is really a matter of getting used to it physically as well as mentally I think. I would certainly talk with your doctor ...
