Turned down at Stanford

Despite having MS for 35 years with all the corresponding symptoms, Dr. Dake did the test (MRV) and found NO blockage. No stents were placed. no relief of symptoms. I have no blocked veins. I cried all the way back from Standford.

Stenosis

Doing research on the internet I read that stenosis is caused by elevated homocysteine levels and a lack of B6 and foliates. Has anyone here had their homocysteine levels checked?

Thank you

Thank you Jeff for your long post. I was diagnosed in 1978. I am scheduled for 11/23/09 and I am terrified. I founded and ran a development group for professional screenwriters for 6 years but the MS forced me to quit. I've always been to frightened to take meetings because of this illness But if yo...

What I meant was has anyone looked at the difference in recovery with the operation between patients who followed some kind of alternative approach and those who just did MS drugs. Just curious.

CCVI outcomes and other approaches

I am very curious about the operation and how it ties in with diet, heavy metal poisoning, supplements and Lymes disease and if patients outcomes are different when tied into any of these other approaches. I am due to have the operation at Stanford in November. I follow the Best Bet Diet, take suppl...

Dr.Dakes admisssion policy

As far as I know, he has to review your MRI and insurance policy. As I understanded it, whether he does the operation depends on your MRV results. I don't know if he accepts everyone or not.

I spoke with my alternative MD and he said the stent operations are done all the time on cardiac patients with amazing success. He said he didn't know of a natural way to unblock veins and he encouraged me to have the operation. I often wonder if those who cured themselves of MS by diet actually had...

Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI)

This is facinating. This may be out in left field but I looked up venous insufficiency and I found out hrse chestnut seeds help as does Pycnogenol. I wonder if it would have any effect on CCVI. Does anyone wonder why only women get cellutite?
