Re: Insurance

Hi. I had to wait my 2 years and finally was put on Medicare this past July. During my waiting period I was not able to go on Medicaid because I made too much money on disability. The only thing I could do was drop my doctor and pray. It was a worrisome wait but I made it through to the other side. ...

Has anyone had this surgery performed? I will be seeing someone in a few months for a Q&A. I don't even know if I qualify.

Hi Bacon. 10 years ago I met a great guy who happened to live in Florida and I lived in Washington state. I was going on year 7 with my MS shadow and told him often how I wouldn't put him through wheelchairs and the like. We maintained a long distance relationship for almost 7 years. I did everythin...

My procedure was January 3, 2011 in Tukwila, WA. I had two days of improvement and then it all went away. I can now no longer hold silverware so either someone had to feed me or it's all food I can hold with two hands. I look like a Parkinson patient from the tremors.

I found out by my neuro trying to eliminate other diseases first. She tested for Lyme, arsenic poisoning, and lots of other diseases I can't spell before we finally did the spinal to confirm what the MRI showed. I was lucky though, I only had 3 months of weeding out other possibilities. Good luck to...

Welcome Jamie. Research Tysabri before going on it. Don't just listen to what your doc tells you.

Ask her to come on board. I think there's a lot of us who were diagnosed at her age. We'd love to talk with her.

Hey GinaB. I am facing an uphill battle. I have so much damage from this disease that it is going to take time to recover. I have noticed much more stamina. I don't peter out like before. I didn't experience a dramatic change but I have had this so long I am past dramatic improvements. There is no s...

HFogerty said it perfectly for me. I can tell you where every bathroom in Kitsap County is! The tremors are horrible. I won't eat in front of people because of them. I can't even take a sip w/out looking foolish. A friend of mine describes herself as feeling detached from life. You're a watcher of l...
