parents get MS in their 50's but had children 25 yrs earlier

This is fascinating reading Frank, thank you for the posting. I notice that you don’t mention the twin genes - DR2a and DR2b and I wonder if researchers have given up on these in favour of the ones you mention. I have a particular interest in this topic because three years after I was diagnosed with...

ldn not working as well as it did

Jake, do you remember this 2007 posting of yours:- Posted: Tue Nov 06, 2007 5:23 am It happened again last night. Same time as when it happened before(approx. 1AM), got up to go to BR, walked length of house twice w/ no aid. ________________________________________ Still looking for answers, I found...

Thank you gwa, Hutto and TH – not quite what I wanted to hear but thank you for caring enough to reply. However, what you have done, is to give me the shove I needed to do something – anything, rather than sitting in stunned silence wishing I could turn the clock back. I have discovered a research N...

Genteics, again.....

Have received quite devastating news – my 1st husband has just been diagnosed with PPMS which I have had for four years. We married in 1974, had two children (’79 & 80) then stupidly split up around 1984. We are still friends and he is looking to me for advice but I just don’t know how to help h...

[quote="christine13"] I'm still taking 2 tablets of baclofen morning and night and LDN without any side effect. I dare not stop baclofen. as it is a central neuro drug, it's important not to stop it suddenly but gradually. I completely got rid of my spasticity. quote] Hi Christine I hope y...

Mardie, thanks for your reply. I’ve never been offered any immune suppressants. In the UK absolutely nothing is offered if one has primary progressive ms so I don’t think that is the problem. I’m reluctant to go back to the 4.5 because I fear it will make even getting into the w’chair an impossibili...

Re: LDN & Baclofin

Hello Andy. I myself started LDN 6 months ago. Before LDN I was on Zanafex for spasicity. After 2 month on 4.5ML of LDN I no longer needed Zanaflex. All Spasicity was gone. You may want to increase your dose to 4.5ml to see if it helps. I had started on 3ml but still had spascity the first month on...

Because it was not a symptom before I began taking ldn and as I reduce the dose, it does get better. Unfortunately, even though I take only 1 mg now, the stiffness has not gone completely and still confines me to the house. What the ldn has achieved is to remove fatigue, slurred speech, cognitive pr...

CureOrBust - I forgot to say that I've had this body size/dose conversation with my supplier and it seems that some tiny females do take 5 or 6 mg and some big chaps take as little as 1 or 2 - seems to be neither rhyme nor reason for this!

Did he begin at this dose or has he increased it for a specific reason? And, if so, why??? Sorry to be inquisitive but I have been changing amounts for over a year now trying to find a dose that will get rid of really dreadful spasticity in my legs. Ldn has fixed every other problem I had and I have...

Sorry for taking so long to reply – been off the boards for a while. I have taken Zamodol, the slow release version, on just a couple of occasions at night when pain in my hip (sciatica?) has been really bad. For some reason I then wake up with a horrid numb but achy feeling in my neck and shoulders...

Thanks for your advice Terry. It’s wonderful that you can walk, and even jog you lucky thing – it’s brilliant that you’ve got the oral Baclofen working for you.

Hi Toyoterry You say you "almost" went for the Baclfen Pump which implies that you changed your mind - what did you do instead if increasing the oral dose did not help you. I am desperate for something to help remove the stiffness which is the only symptom I now have after two years on ldn...
