Re: Wahls diet discussion

Lack of energy is one of my most serious problems, apart from.nil mobility. I' ve been on Wahl' s diet five months and have had no alteration of symptoms, good or bad, other than the discovery of milk as a trigger, causing whole-body sharp pinpricks within thirtyz minutes, lastIng for seven hours. A...

Re: Wahls diet discussion

And is anyone getting any better by following a diet, or are we all just deluding ourselves? Are any of us stronger, or able to walk better/further? I'm afraid I don't think so. I've had no slowing or improvements in 35 years, other than better sleep since CCSVI -- and time is not on my side. I'm 70...

Re: Wahls diet discussion

I think you may perhaps have missed my point here. I had been consuming normal amounts of dairy - yoghurt, cheese, cream etc in the past since dx 35 years ago- I'm 70y/o - with no noticeable problem. McDougall's gluten /dairy free diet over 2-3 years produced neither benefit or problems, so I lapsed...

Re: Wahls diet discussion/McDougall

Like you I have to rely on my wonderful wife for my meals. I did.McDougalls gluten/dairy free. Diet for several years but saw no improvement so let it lapse till Wahls came along. This time, 3 months in I accidentally ate a small piece of grated cheese - half an inch by an eighth. It was stuck to a ...

Re: Diosvein for circulation

I have been taking Diosvein 1 cap 3x/day for poor leg circulation. My legs are frozen and feet are purple. CCSVI had no effect. Suggestions?

Re: Flavonoids and CCSVI

I have been taking Diosvein 1 cap 3x/day for 10 days to help circulation, but no effect.
CCSVI had no effect either on my frozen legs/purple feet. Any ideas?

Re: Wahls diet discussion

Hi lyndacarol , Thanks for that. I have her book 'Minding my mitochondria', have watched/listened to her on Youtube, and read her on Facebook,so I have encountered most of her current thinking. It's now a question of seeing if it will do anything for me - nothing else has, and time is not on my side...

Re: Wahls diet discussion

Hi Dave, I'm so pleased for you, and pleased that it seems to confirm the Wahls diet does have an effect. I'm trying to follow in your footsteps, but am lagging. Dr Wahls mitochondria book came a little while ago. and I'm trying to stick to her guidelines. I have daily carers who get me in/out of be...

Re: Wahls diet discussion

Hi dkepp11/Dave, I'm just wondering how you've been since your exciting news on Oct 16. Has your ability to get on your scooter remained the same, improved or declined? Any other changes? My copy of 'Minding my Mitochondria' has just arrived, and I'm looking forward to reading it. Does your wife eat...

Re: Wahls diet discussion

Thanks. What is your MS profile? Have you had improvements on your diet? Are you on an upward curve? If, as you say, high zinc will allow gluten consumption, it leads to the question of dairy/dairy-free. Wahls is dairy free as you know. How about your intake? I am pleased to read of dkep11's improvem...
