So it is fine for him to be rude, to make statements about people who claim to have MS and finally to call us nutters.

Ok, well this really is the final post from me and I do want everything I have written removed.

Antedote, You don't know and I don't know what is causing the breathing difficulties. Wilson's GP is in the best position to know but that doesn't mean he does know. I would excercise caution until the test results come back. I do know that minocycline can cause reactions LONG after it is first take...

Hi Wilson, Trouble breathing could be an allergic reaction to minocycline, it is down as a potential allergic reaction in my formulary. But who knows unless you get it checked out. Even if it turns out not to be, if I were you I would discontinue until I know for definite that it is not the minocycl...

[quote="Byron"] Some people in the medical industry, and some people who also claim to suffer from MS find the fact that she seems to be cured to be an insulting. I cannot help that. Whether you find this rude, or whether you find this good doesn't matter. [/qoute] I really didn't have muc...

I agree that ALL MS research and related theories are quite tentative at this point. However, in the spirit of debate (the only way we really ever learn anything, in my opinion), here are couple of counter-points to your post. First of all, I am not disputing the theory per se. I just like to see a...

Make up your mind? No offence but don't you think this is just a bit one sided? I am not disputing that it may be a cause for some people with MS. ie. a subset. I am all for a debate but I would like to see a more balanced debate. There have also been plenty of studies that dispute the link between ...

Hi Bromely, Viral and bacterial infections both play a role in precipitating relapse or indeed first attack in MS. Though less evidence has been found for bacterial infections playing a role than viral. Nevertheless, studies have been done that back up much anecdotal information that bacterial infec...

Hi Bromley, As you know none of us can give medical advice. I suggest you get a referral to see a rheumatologist because this may not be the MS. After diagnosis it is very easy to attribute every ache and pain to MS and sometimes they are not related. However, before one can say for certain you will...

IgA antibodies and MS

This is a very interesting excerpt. I have had ELISA testing for IgG and have no antibodies to gliadin and gluten. So I think I can discount it as having much of an affect on me. My IgG levels are on the low side of normal. If, however, the we are looking at MS as a syndrome then one can speculate t...

The hockey, while not the best for this time of year and considering the teams have only played together for a few weeks, is intense and enjoyable. And Canada will likely win....4-1 :-))) Harry I know nothing about ice hockey but in the interests of European Unity I have to say 1-0 to Finland:-) Ci...

To add to the above, two relapses is not entirely correct. They have to be clinicaly significant relapses not just relapses. This is the regulations applied by the ABN (association of British Neurologists). This is why I was first turned down for treatment as not in a million years would my relapses...

Moi! Finn, Interesting debate... I agree with much of what you say, but I still stand by the syndrome argument. However, this does not exclude that at some point they trace it all forms back to a faulty gene, that the blood brain barrier is too weak, or myelin is immature in all cases of MS. Althoug...
