Re: Kirsty Duncan encounters stone wall of majority politics

I sent an email to Kirsty Duncan, MP last week to ask for her opinion about the TAMSI study that is being conducted here in Alberta. I wanted to know what her opinion about that study is. My own gut feeling is that if it is being conducted by people who are trying to stonewall CCSVI treatment, then ...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

Dr. Sclafani,
Regarding your last case study and other patients whose veins don't remain patent..... Is something like Ehlers Danlos at play, where collagen is not typical? Is that a possibility for veins not holding up after venoplasty? Just thoughts I have.... We are all so different!

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

Dr. Sclafani As an engineer I like to make decisions based on facts, figures and statistics. Unfortunately when it comes to CCSVI treatment there seems to be a relative lack of such information. For quantitative data the best I can find are the charts at http://www.ccsvi-tracking.com/ . The issue o...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

Wishing you the best for a speedy recovery, Dr. S.... SaintLouis is absolutely right! Taking vitamin C, even orange or pineapple juice with the iron will aide in the absorption. That was my advice when my iron stores were very low after donating bone marrow to a family member years ago. I can add th...

Re: How are you doing since treatment??

Currently having first major relapse in two years. Oh Pam, Sorry to hear you are having a relapse. Hope it is short-lived! For myself, I feel like some of my balance, bladder, vision improvements have maybe shifted slightly for the worse in the last couple of months..... I know that I haven't been ...

Re: SASKATCHEWAN ENTERING PARTNERSHIP TO ADVANCE MS RESEARCH

Cece, I am guessing that Dr. Siskin's booking to the end of 2012 likely includes this set of 80-90.... because from what I'm reading, this has been in the making for a bit of time now. I also read that there will be about a 2 year time commitment expected of the patients that participate. I think th...

Re: SASKATCHEWAN ENTERING PARTNERSHIP TO ADVANCE MS RESEARCH

80-90 PwMS get to participate. That will be some lottery for the MSer's in SK. It is a wonderful start for Canadians with MS and typical of Saskatchewan to be leading the way. Healthcare has always been front & center in SK. I am impressed at the wisdom in making a study from a group of patients...

Re: WHY WE NEED VALVES

I am not sure whether those of who have valve problems can ever have working valves. Mine were ballooned, not disrupted or torn. Based on my improvements in health, I am better off without the valves as obstructions, although maybe not as well off as I'd be if I had normal, functional valves. But n...

Re: DR TREVOR TUCKER PHD

The fluid dynamics in my body since CCSVI procedure are a mystery to me! Much less swelling in my ankles/feet, perspiration - so i'm able to tolerate heat, obviously better blood circulation - warmth in my extremities. Lovin' it all!

Re: images from my procedure...

Can anyone help me? I have tried to look at the images from the 2 cds that I got from AAC but I can't - neither on my Mac or hubby's PC. Have been on the go since my return from Brooklyn, but I tried a second time today and no luck - not that I'll likely make any sense of anything there anyways, bu...

Hi, Dr. Sclafani performed my CCSVI intervention back in December 2010. I currently have SPMS, for approximately 2 years. RRMS since 1989. I have never taken any of the DMDs. I'm doing very well since the procedure. My EDSS score went from 3.5 to 1.5. (Tested ~2 months post procedure). Now I'm doin...

I used to sweat like a mannequin, now I sweat like a person. ;) Ditto! I thought when I was in NYC in July that it was the humidity & heat combo that was possibly the reason for me breaking into a sweat for the first time in my life. I just spent a week in Arizona and was sweating just as much ...
