still getting stronger
I went a saw my neurologist on Wednesday. Last time I was there my right arm was considerably weaker than my left. I decided that I was going to work at increasing it's strength. Well I managed to do that but I forgot about keeping the strength in my right leg as well. So strengthening the quads on ...

I posed that question to both of my parents afterwards and because of the lack of technology they really had no choice with a family history of brain tumours. But I do think it all made me stronger for having to of gone through it and come out doing what they said I shouldn't be able to do, like rid...

Thinking about what I have gone through to be diagnosed
I have been doing a lot of thinking for the past month since the airing of Dr. Zamboni's research on W5. Mostly thinking about how it was that I was diagnosed. I remember I was seven when I had my first neurological test done on me, it was an EEG I remember this because they printed off two extra sh...

I read the article on Sam, it reminded me of a lot that I went through except for being diagnosed that young. I actually got sick at the age of 7 and went undiagnosed for the next eleven years. If I were Sam or any other young child with MS, I would do what my parents did with me. Let them try whate...

me
Emma,
I also don't mind sharing on here because if I can help just one person by sharing my story then I feel I have done my job....whatever it is.

Hello Censley, I too am in my thirties and my MS also includes seizures like you. I have found with myself that when I have a grand mal seizure I usually end up having a major relapse two weeks to the day of the seizure. I was also told that only half of one percent have seizures with their MS, so I...

I was bought a really inspirational book by my sister a few years after I was diagnosed it called The Winning Spirit" Life Lessons Learned in Last Place. It's about a MS patient who runs the New York marathon and every year she finishes last but doesn't let it stop her from doing it the next ye...

Well yes that is true but I have been on medication that has slowed down the progression considerably in my opinion and that of my entire family. If there is still more research to do in this area why are they collaborating to find the facts faster. I am by no means a medical expert in this area but...

CCSVI and pre-existing damage
I see everyone is all excited about this CCSVI and you all should be I on the other hand have some reservations about it being a "cure." I have been living with MS for 27 years and yes I am still high functioning but I still have questions: For those of us that have had MS for an extended ...

I'm Toosje
Hello, My name is Toosje Wright I have been living with MS since the age of 7. It took them 11 years to come up with the diagnosis of MS. I went through a craniotomy when I was 12. I had 19 spinal taps by the time I turned 31, I like to look at as I per year. They finally diagnosed me at age 18 when...
