Re: They found cancer during my CCSVI research test

How fortunate the cancer was detected and you received the care you needed for a good outcome. It is not uncommon to find thyroid nodules with ultrasound (they found 3 with mine,) however, only a small percentage of those are cancer. Here are two articles on the subject: Mayo Clinic: http://www.mayo...

Re: Tying it all together

Thoughts about Diamox: * It is not an innocuous drug. It has side effects to be aware of http://www.drugs.com/mtm/diamox.html *As we age we produce less CSF, yet we need an adequate amount constantly circulating to keep flushing and eliminating toxins from our brains so they don't become toxic waste...

Re: why?????????????this does not make Sense!!!!!!!!

I am disheartened by the decision to move Dr. Flanagan’s thread. It is untimely given the growing professional interest in any possible relationship between cervical trauma and some CCSVI cases. Flanagan’s thread is not about garden variety UC chiropractic and its efficacy. It is about expanding the...

More on upper cervical issues

Hello Again, I’ve had a number of PM’s in response to my original post. Each had similar questions related to this thread, so I thought perhaps it might be helpful to add a few things. Yes, I do have MS. Diagnosed 23 years ago, but only after it became so severe that my symptoms could no longer be d...

Dr Flanagan:relief from brain fog, dizziness, head pressure

After reading Dr. Flanagan’s book and communicating with him, I had x-rays taken and learned that I had a rather complex constellation of structural cervical conditions that impede the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in addition to impeded blood flow in both jugular veins. UCC finally has given me the r...

Exercise

Suggest a book by John J. Ratey, MD called "SPARK: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain". I probably would not have picked this book to read, but a physician in my book club chose it and I'm glad it was required reading. It definitely has application for those of us stru...

CCSVI.org website glitch

Using Internet Explorer, I have attempted to make a one-time donation to the CCSVI Alliance using the Paypal button on CCSVI.org. It took me to a blank page that says " Fatal failure ." I was sucessful, however, using Moxilla Foxfire. I have reported the problem to the website manager and ...

Organization

BooBear, Mangio, and foreignlesion, Indeed, it takes organization to make things happen. TIMS is great for support, communication and getting the word out fast, but for action, education and influence we need a fully organized official non-profit. Thanks to the efforts of those who have donated hund...

CCSVI ALLIANCE

The CCSVI ALLIANCE has evolved organically through the selfless volunteer efforts of some impressively talented people. It has not had deep pockets to fund the development process, but when their website (CCSVI.org) goes up it will be formidable and reliable. You will refer your friends and physicia...

Trained/experienced physicians important

I would like to underscore Dr. Sclafani’s emphasis on finding qualified/experienced/trained physicians to do your CCSVI testing and procedure. I totally understand the strong impetus to find help sooner rather than later and the willingness to take financial risks to acquire it. But, it cannot be em...

Your results after non-stint venous angioplasty?

TIMS members, Forgive me if this information is already available somewhere, but I have searched for hours and been unable to find more than a couple of isolated entries. For those of you who have had non-stint angioplasty to correct CCSVI, I would like to know what you experienced the first few day...

JIMMY HUEGA HAS DIED

I am sad to learn that Jimmy Huega died today of respiratory problems. Many of you probably know that he was diagnosed with MS six years after winning a bronze olympic medal for skiing...same year that Billy Kidd won the silver. With Betty Ford's help he started the Jimmy Heuga center for MS in Vail...

Caution-Red Flag: ANGER in the MS community

Dear TIMS members: Yesterday I did a search for media news on CCSVI and very quickly picked up these two when I googled NBC and CBS. The first refers to MS patient "Anger" and CCSVI : < shortened url > The second refers to the "battle" between ms patients and practioners: http://...

Dr. Jack Burks

Dr. Burks is a very thoughtful intelligent man who has been involved in MS research for a long time. His article gives a good overview of CCSVI. Since he mentions the study being conducted in Buffalo, I am disappointed, however, that he did not also mention the other American studies of Dr. Dake or ...
