I missed Megans call today... bummer :( Since I've already had the procedure almost a month ago (in the same vicinity), I'm contemplating offering myself up for study. Being that I'm in the 1/3 group that was treated with little to no change/benefit... possibly even worse off. I need a follow-up any...

On June 16, he was batting on the right side, now he is batting on the left side. I confirmed this with the good Dr. on 6/25. I suspect he is now a switch hitter, who will mostly bat left. bmk Hmmmm.. I was done on Monday 6/14. I think I'll email him to see if I can get checked. It is just a 2 hr f...

Re: Costs at Community Care in Albany?
Hi, I've done some looking around the site, but can't seem to find anything about the costs for NY (although I'm sure I had seen it here before!) Could anyone who has been there or has received definitive info from the clinic please let me know what they are charging? We are on the list to get a ca...

I just had the procedure done yesterday (June 22nd) by Dr. Kenneth Mandato (Dr. Siskins partner - Community Care Physicans, Intervertional Care)... I've felt some weird sensations during ballooning and now experiencing subtle balance improvements, but nothing miraclous yet. He found stenosis in the ...

Thanks for the reply (interesting): it was a test with the expected results of her foot reflexing down, but then bouncing back rapidly. My wife's left foot would kinda just stick in the down position and slowly return up to normal. All the doc said was that it could be an indicator of thyroid proble...

Things just keep adding up... When I was recently scanned (doppler ultrasound) the report noted a nodule on the thyroid (enlarged). The tech commented on it but quickly dismissed and said it was nothing to worry about. I looked it up and I guess it is very common / benign. However, now when viewed w...

Re: RESEARCH IDEA
So i had an idea to do a study of the state of the imaging now. i would define with paolo, an acceptable image set for each test. then review studies that are volunteered by patients to see what the standard are would people be willing to participate in this trial. Re: Zamboni's Five Criteria for CCSVI
Am I right in thinking that if a Echo Doppler is used, along with MRI and MRV and a person with MS shows only one of the five criteria for a CCSVI diagnosis, they still may have CCSVI? (sorry for long question, don't know how else to explain it) To truly be diagnosed, a Doppler and a Venography mus...

CureorBust, they do inflate at lower pressures when using a cutting balloon compared to a regular one, so: good question!! Maybe? The advantage of the cutting balloon comes later, when it appears to have less restenosis. Lower pressure and less force during dilation = more likely to close immediate...

How does one get this type of MRI? Special machine? Only in certain big cities? or ??? I think mohzi may be referring to the Quantative Iron MRI @ Buffalo Neuroimaging Analysis Center (self-pay CCSVI testing option).. It may be a Dr. Haccke protocal??? The machine was a GE tesla 3.0 machine. I was ...
