Very sad to hear and yes it's very important to make an informed decison and to be comfortable with that decision before doing anything. My thoughts and prayers are with that family today.

I had the liberation treatment on April 12th and did great for approximately 1 week. I can't say I'm worse off than I was pre-procedure, just not as great as I was post procedure.

I am waiting for appointment to be tested for re-stenosis (which I believe is the case).

My reply to Hockeydad was in regards to the testing in Barrie - which will be covered under OHIP with doctors req. - NOT private clinics.

With your doctors requisition, you shouldn't have to pay anything as its covered under OHIP.

Well, there are a few people who had angio done by Dr. Sclafani, and they too are on blood thinners. Hmmmm I wonder what the determining factor is?? Interesting.

Thanks!

As far as I know, you may be tested at a few places in Canada (Montreal, BC) but have yet to hear of anyone being treated here. So far, I have doppler images on a CD as well as a report but no vascular surgeon or interventional radiologist willing to help.

It makes me both mad and sad!
