Hello all I had the procedure done in Katowice, February this year....was diagnosed by Dr Simka with blockage in the azygous and right jugular veins....Given I am SSPS, I was not expecting miracles and was not surprised by the results....there were small noticeable changes, ie could lie down on my b...

Congratulations mtf on your trip, and I wish you the best possible outcome.. I just had the passing thought of how similar the individual stories of our trips from all parts of the world to Poland resembles Chaucer's Canterbury Tales... we each have our own unique tale to tell in our pilgrim's trip ...

We know Dr. Duncan is. :D :D

It will be interesting to see what happens. I wonder how often specific medical treatment like this gets a full debate in the House?
Does anyone know when/where you can watch it?

Hi Alby Your question is on my mind as well....while my improvements were minimal at best, its hard to tell if there has been restenosis, and I am debating returning to Poland after 6 months for a followup...there is discussion of the issue in Parliamentary committee here, and it may be better to st...

I have forwarded the link from the BMJ to the MS Society of Canada asking for their response to this news, and commenting that it would be beyond ironic that neurologists are cautioning against moving too quickly on CCSVI while simultaneously prescribing drugs that may be worsening the progression o...

Re: .

That's funny, I found all these discussions positive. I might got them all wrong... should read the french version  I agree with you Belou...I thought the transcripts, both English and French, gave an accurate picture of where we are today, and where we want to go wrt CCSVI...I found it amazi...

Re: UPDATE

(update March 2, 2010) Since yesterday, I can stand for 30 seconds, being able to look around and move my arms around, without losing my balance. I only tried 30 seconds, I might be able to stand more. (update March 22, 2010) I now can stand without support for one to two minutes depending on the d...

Richard in Poland

I have been slow in posting the details of my trip to Katowice, partly to get a better assessment of where I stand (lol), and partly out of sheer inertia, but here goes. Left mild Vancouver on February 7, and arrived in blustery, cold, and snowy Krakow the next day, travelled via Lufthansa and LOT P...

Re: Follow-Up Question

Not sure I'm posting on the right thread, but I was wondering - if you go to Poland for the treatment, are you supposed to go back for a check-up to make sure things haven't closed up again? If so, what is tge time lapse - ie. one month later? I had angio on azygous and RJug veins in Feb with Dr Si...
