Re: have most been treated?

I think another reason TIMS is quieter is that there is now a very active Facebook page that many of us follow in lieu of or in addition to the TIMS site. And some of the research we clamoured for is being done, and we are patiently awaiting results.

So then maybe the differences in MS are because of the different ways the body can respond to CCSVI and the severity of the CCSVI. I also add the length of time with the disease. In my case it was very very slow in progessing, but I have had it for over 35 years. I think that the likelihood that da...

Re: Dr. Mehta's clinical trial prelim. results announced-

Improvements occurred in each of the MS types, except in primary progressive MS," Dr. Mehta said. I have had angiplasty for my CCSVI, I have PPMS, and unfortunately this has been my experience. I have apparently restenosed somewhat, but the doctor who did my follow-up suggested that since I ha...

Seriously, one should look at the cerebrospinal venous circuit as continuous. it seems to me that adding considerable blood from the renal veins into this pool is part of the equation. What disease or disorder are INRs treating when the stent the dural sinus? It would be interesting to tie that int...

There have been decades of research on the autoimmune theory and, while not coming up entirely empty, I'd say it's come up next-to-empty. I have very little use with the pure autoimmunity theory. There have been, as Dr. H allegedly said, billions spent and almost nothing of concrete value proven ab...

I think it depends on how long you have sedation and what type. Also how long your procedure is. My daughter's was long 3.5 hours. Her IR struggled with her difficult Azygos. So indeed she slept for a while in the recovery area. She had "conscious sedation" I think versed and fentanyl. Go...

point is closed. Mine took a couple of hours to stop oozing and I couldn't do anything but lay flat and wait. Yeah. I did not have any anti-coagulant therapy at all, not even baby aspirin, so bleeding was not a problem. I imagine most people had a a bit more of an issue with that. Still, it sounds ...

This could be really good news! I have never had much use for EAE since it was created artificially by inducing the kind of problem in mice (auto-immune demylination) that the scientist believed to be the basis of MS, and then usijng it as evidence that MS was primarily an auto-immune demylinating d...

The more i treat this, the more I believe that i am not treating MS at all, but most of the time treating ccsvi. This seems more true as more evidence comes in, but how do you explain Dr. Zamboni's original findings that sparked this whole issue, that MS was largely convined to those with MS? Even ...

What to do, What to do? Restenosed

I had bilateral jugular blockage, was treated in Sept. 2010, had improvement for 2 or 3 days, developed very sore jugulars, and the improvements went away. I did not get follow up diagnosis until March 2011. at that time, I had bilateral jugular reflux , diagnosed per color doppler ultrasound. The t...
