Re: CCSVI MS DEMOTED TO A CO MORBITITY

Hi Vesta, thanks for the question. You have got me thinking. I don't do quite enough, actually what I do is very minimal. Leave the question with me for a while. I will get back to you. Regards, Leo

Re: EBV response as biomarker

This line of thinking assumes that the immune system makes mistakes. But I'm not so sure about that. My manuscript https://www.thisisms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=262981#p262981 is built on the premise that the immune system responds to a herpes/EBV viral assault to prevent the onset of cancers, i.e....

Re: CCSVI MS DEMOTED TO A CO MORBITITY

Anti virals work to prevent one gets MS. HIV patients who are on a HAART (highly active anti retroviral therapy) won't get MS. There is enough epidemiological evidence for that. To what extent you can stop MS progression by dampening herpes reactivation once the T/B cell hyperimmunization has been s...

Re: CCSVI MS DEMOTED TO A CO MORBITITY

Hi Vesta, CCSVI weakens or breaks the BBB. Herpes viridae may creep into the CNS from the nasopharynx via the Virchow Robin space. It is not the stress factor that during an attack causes malfunction because of poor bloodflow. It is the herpes viridae that cause the mitochondria to stop producing AT...

Re: 50,000 year old herpes virus discovered

Hi Jaded, Thank you. Interesting reflections in the article. I think herpes is not only making us sick but has also contributed to strenghtening our cells and our immune system. Very weird.. The article also shows what a thin line evolution must have been and how lucky we are that we are here today....

Re: IF You Used To Enjoy Bike Riding BUT Can't anymore...

My bike is a Gazelle Orange C7+ HMB with a Bosch 40Nm engine, in fact a normal 'city bike' of Dutch make. With many (most?) components made in China. It is now 9 years old, it has run 40,000 kms, 25,000 miles. The engine runs still perfectly fine, no problems. I am on my third battery, 400 Wh. But i...

Re: IF You Used To Enjoy Bike Riding BUT Can't anymore...

Hi Elliot, I enjoy cycling too, very much in fact. I can’t walk very well but bicycling is still going OK. I use a normal electric bike with a 40 Nm Bosch engine. I bike about 5000 km per year, for the last 10 years or more, 20 – 30 km per day on the days that I go out, mostly in the local vicinity ...

Re: Theoretical Immunology

Over the last 500 million years, our cells have co-evolved with herpes viridae. Herpes is a very successful virus that was never completely eliminated by our immune system and is highly adapted to its host. The arms-race between the virus and our cells has resulted in an equilibrium without any appr...

Re: How Epstein-Barr virus triggers multiple sclerosis

In my case, it was vaccination with Hepatitis B and yellow fever that triggered the herpes viridae in the nasopharynx and ultimately caused the relapse. I can prove that. In France, they seem to have experience with this as well. The mass vacination campaign for Hepatitis some decades ago caused a r...

Re: Theoretical Immunology

The good news is that these institutes like Stanford are now actively engaged with the new insights, have even formed a new group for connecting the dots, see https://www.thisisms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32599 It's more or less the same as what the people from Vienna have done a few weeks ago, see...

Re: How Epstein-Barr virus triggers multiple sclerosis

Hi Vesta, thanks for posting. By becoming very technical, they want to throw the veil over the new insights or at least remain close to the old thinking and related interests. The positive news is that these institutes like Stanford are now actively working on new insights, have even formed new grou...

Re: Why Avoid DMDs

CCSVI itself does not cause MS directly but is certainly a factor that prepares the conditions for, breaks the BBB. There will be other factors that may break, weaken or degrade the BBB. This is why not everyone with MS has CCSVI. MS is then caused by the herpes virus. MS usually starts with RRMS or...

Re: Why Avoid DMDs

@ElliotB: My left internal jugular vein (IJV) is bigger than my right IJV, a situation that must have developed during the fetal growth when the left was trying to compensate for the blockage in the lower neck on the right. I was born with a vascular narrowing in the neck. This was clearly a birth d...

Re: Why Avoid DMDs

It's all polemic. CCSVI itself is not MS. But many years of venous obstruction will damage the BBB. And with that prepare the conditions for herpes viridae to anchor in the brain cells. The cells will react with antiviral measures. The electron transport chain of the mitochondria will be interrupted...

Re: Why Avoid DMDs

I could certainly agree with the above comments of ElliotB. To which I would add that current medical views held about chronic diseases, although dogmatically endorsed and repeated, may be truth-like but they certainly are not truth. Relapsing MS has little to do with demyelination but everything wi...
