Re: another jig saw piece? Cholinergic system

I started taking lecithin coz of this thread. Now I love to do sudoku's but could only master 2 and 3 stars (difficulty). I would have to scribble down possibilities on the side for the 3 stars otherwise I would lose track. And I would mess up terribly if I was tired. Now I do 3 stars without scribb...

I've spent some teenage years living in south east Asia. When I moved back home I gained about 10 kilo's in a few months time just because of the difference in food. I was very skinny to start out with though - 57 kilo's, 1.74m while I ate whatever I liked. Within a year of returning to europe I had...

I am really quite intugued by Cheer's posting about cortisol production. I suffer from psoriasis as well as MS. Psoriasis als has a link with cortisol production. Funny thing is both my neurologist and my dermatoligist call my MS/psoriasis a-typical. Found this article while reading up and cortisol ...

Bethr, the mentioning of Niacin in your posting blew my mind - Niacin is one vitamin I really, really benefit from - but not in the brain fog department. I found this on the wiki page on lecithin: A proven benefit and suggested use for lecithin is for those taking niacin to treat high cholesterol. N...

I ran the article tru google translate: Chemical interference with memory system in MS It is possible that the memory problems of MS patients are caused by decreased production of the substance acetylcholine. With drugs you would do something about. About half of all MS patients suffer from memory p...

another jig saw piece? Cholinergic system

I've come across an interesting article on the Dutch MS forum. It's about this study: Abstract Hippocampal pathology was shown to be extensive in multiple sclerosis (MS) and is associated with memory impairment. In this post-mortem study, we investigated hippocampal tissue from MS and Alzheimer's di...

That is correct Dania, I started taking it for that reason. There's been a number of discussions about it here on Tims - it is a tricky vitamin to take, for those interested this might be worth a read:

I had very bad heat intolerance when I had my biggest relapse ever anumber of years ago. Since then, I always felt better when it was 20C or less. January 2010 I started up with Niacin (vit B3) and in the summer of 2010 I went to south east asia (for a reunion, I would not have made such a long trip...

A small dose of vitamin D3 resulted in significant exacerbation of intimal hyperplasia in this rat carotid artery model and raises the question of the role of dietary vitamin D3 in restenosis following vascular intervention
Very interesting .. and confusing indeed.

Well I have a suggestion that is not very popular with many - it's called a neti-pot, it once featured on dr Oz. It is natural and it works for me. I have dust allergy and normally if I have to clear out the shed or something it would really bother me. Now I use the neti-pot straight after and I'm f...

creating veins

Human veins have been grown in a laboratory in a breakthrough that could revolutionise heart bypass surgery for tens of thousands of Britons each year. The home-grown blood vessels, which were mass-produced from donated human muscle tissue, could also help kidney patients dependent on dialysis. The...

The darkest moment with MS - when my six year old son was sitting on my bed beside me, crying because he ws so hungry and I could not lift a finger just from being so, so tired. Like I'd been washed ashore after being shipwrecked. And there was no one there to help. Being so tired that nothing got t...
