Re: Approx. how much time until LDN kicks in?

Sorry for the late reply, I hope the LDN is starting to give you some benefits.
As for the best time to take it, Dr. Bihari the person that found the benefits of LDN, he mentioned to take the drug around 9:00pm to 10:00pm.
I hope you can adhere with his suggestion.
Good Luck

Re: Approx. how much time until LDN kicks in?

Welcome to the forum, As for your answer it normally takes 3 to 4 weeks but many has had different times as low as overnight to many months. You didn't say what stage is your MS. So please give it a chance as it definitively improves one's quality of life. In my case I am Secondary Progressive and i...

Ann this is way too early to tell, you should continue for at least more than a month but give us some news if you feel different. Is this the only drug you take besides Baclofen.

Ann are you still with the clinical trial with Avonex?
Ldn doesn't go well with it and furthermore Saccharine is a poor filler with it.

Re: Experiences with Low Dose Naltrexone

Annbbe it is very normal when starting on Ldn that your body feels like it wants to revolt. Keep the course given by your md and eventually your symptoms will get better than before but it is very random as to how much time it will take. After 14 yrs with MS did your symptoms get worse recently othe...

Re: LDN and bladder issues

Since taking Ldn for more than 2 years my bladder control is I consider as normal, before if after taking a serving of a beer I had to go twice with urgency. It seems very much Ldn will help where the myelin has been attacked mildly and which nerve it was attacked on, some patients on Ldn reported h...

Re: Why did LDN make me so much worse?

Ldn dose is ultimately important. If one takes even slightly too high a dose then there are many names for this but lets call it dose overlapping. You see after you take your dose preferably at night Ldn works at the cellular level for a few hours then gets eliminated through the bladder. But if the...

Re: Relapses after stopping LDN...theories about this?

When a patient with MS takes LDN at proper dosage, very often the patient feels better which in turn creates a new baseline that sometimes get taken for granted. The new baseline should be called benefits. If one stops taking LDN for a few days the benefits disappear all at once thereby perceived as...

Re: Who here takes only LDN and NO other MS drugs? PLEASE po

It has been not proven but taking Ldn stops the disease progression. I have been taking this drug with no side effects since 2 years and I can say that my Secondary progressive MS has stopped progressing and even have a better quality of life with it. There is a strong possibility as you have RRMS s...

Re: Who here takes only LDN and NO other MS drugs? PLEASE po

Lilly, You can't go wrong by trying it for the length of time you suggested. By the medicaments you take you seem to be on relapsing remitting phase. I am secondary progressive since 2005. I started LDN September 2012. I will never quit it. So far beside the benefits like a bit more stamina and ener...

Re: Starting Dose (4.5mg)

To elucidate on dosage 4.5mg was decided for most people as the optimum dose. But everyone being different in size, height ect the dosage for some may be to high or if you weigh 300lbs + you can get prescribed at 5 to 6 mg. The trick to find the right dosage is your body needs to eliminate the drug ...

Re: Wanting off Avonex

Can I suggest looking at LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone). No side effects and stops disease progression.
I wish I knew about it when I was at relapsing remitting phase. Look it up by googling it.

Good Luck

Re: Oxygen therapy: Fresh air relief for MS patients

This is news? Really? I thought the benefits of HBOT were very well known in the MS community. I think it has failed all controlled trials and therefore only has anecdotal evidence that it helps MS. Hi everyone, I have tried the oxygenation route by renting three D size oxygen cylinders, enough if ...
