Good research. Where do you get this stuff?? I will need to spend some time reading these items (PDF format is easiest for me) before I pipe in with my two cents worth.

Hi there and welcome!
I'm sorry but I'm not able to tell you anything about those DMD's as I have not used either one.
Perhaps if you go to the Drug Pipeline Thread you can find out more information there.
Anyways... WELCOME!

I can understand your nerves Canadian Guy but you will be fine. I wish you all the best. If you have done your research and know what to expect i.e. percentages of all aspects of outcomes, you go in being very informed. Again, I wish you all the best :-)

I totally understand. I understand all of the frustrations listed above. My husband and I are starting to laugh now at the plight some are at. We can't help it. We have somewhat of a strange and morbid sense of humor. It gets us through the crappy times. I am a quad now and I've gone through various...

Shoes
Hi swynjones
I must say that I can't relate to footwear issues. I've never had any so I can't speak about that but maybe someone else will be able to shed some light on this for you.

Oh Julie, I can totally relate. Yes to positive attitude and everything. I was diagnosed within the first year of my marriage. It was just our 17 year anniversary. We have very quirky/warped sense of humor. I like that about us. So if you need to vent... VENT. Can it be shitty (whoops... can I say t...

Hi mission I'm sorry but I cannot advise as to what blood tests to ask for. When I "do" blood it is usually 3-4 vials. Unless it is something specific, that is my "normal" amount. Your family physician will probably recommend some neurologists to choose from. I hope all goes well...

Hi Catfreak, (nice name BTW! :-)) thanks for everything and thanks for sticking around. I see that you have had your one-year on September 2. Happy anniversary to you! I have been busting my butt for the last 10 months to try and get my own procedure done. 10 months! I could be dealing with a four-w...

I would be very happy to look at what you have laid out. Knowledge is power so they say. Thanks jimmylegs. And just FYI I am doing OK today. I picked myself by my metaphorical bootstraps and I am on the road again. YIKES!! That did not sound any thing like me! whoops. I said I was on the road... now...

Hi Jimmy legs My dx was in 1994. I think I was slow running around the bases (baseball) in 1992. Married in 1993 and diagnosed in 1994. Elaboration and the vitamin D (I think that's what you mean). Now (different neurologist than the first) after my blood test they say I am low! Very worried because...

This kills me! metaphorically of course! But of course you do realize that people are going out of the country to use their wheelchairs and they work just fine in Bulgaria, Poland, India, Costa Rica, etc. etc. Or so I'm told! LMAO which is not easy in a wheelchair
