How long does it take for your relapses to kick-in?

Hi All I've been having problems for 23 years but was diagnosed with MS about 6 years ago after a partiuclarly nasty relapse that landed me in hospital. I relapsed again last year but wanted to see another consultant as the one that I had been seeing was not very pleasant. I'm now under another hosp...

really frightened

Hi Sophie

I know it's a worrying time but please try not to be frightened. There are lots of meds for MS nowadays and research brings us closer & closer to understanding the cause.

PM me if you want to talk...

Negative Lumbar Puncture

Hi Shoetree I don't know how common this is but I've read that 10% of people with MS will not have the bands showing in their fluid. For me, I had my first attack in 1992 and was given lumbar puncture which came back negative. Went on with various symptoms and attacks for a further 13 years when the...

Sorry - me again!

I've got 3 messages stuck in my outbox. 1 has been there since April!
How do I send these messages to the recipient?

Thanks

Hi Nacheygirl I had the CCSVI treatment done in Poland in April and I have had absolutely no improvements from it - in fact, the tingling that is now in my hands constantly started about 2 months after I had the treatment done. I just don't want people thinking that it will cure all. It may work for...

Hi DLB

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I've heard of inclined bed therapy - do you know how much you are supposed to incline the bed?

Not sure how my husband will react though (lol)!

Hi Loryias

Thanks for your reply...

Don't you get tingling anymore? Did it just stop or did it stop because of the drugs?

Tingling Driving Me Insane

Hi Peeps Is there anyone that can tell me of a medication that they take to relieve tingling? I've had tingling in my feet for years but over the last month my hands have also joined in. It really is driving me mad, on my mind from when I wake up in the morning until last thing at night. And then wh...

Hi ATSWC This is a difficult question because although there have been many people that have had the CCSVI treatment done there are comparatively few results on the sticky. I myself, haven't posted there yet but this is for a reason: so far, I feel no benefit whatsoever from my expensive trip to Pol...

Hi Johnson As Mutley has already said they don't catherterise you as a matter of course. I was a bit worried about that but I think that they must have been able to see that I was mobile and so didn't even try to catherterise me... I didn't take out insurance as I figured if I told the insurers what...
