Re: FlashHack is Liberated

Wow. Okay, I just now bothered to click on the link posted by RCC. What a bunch of hooey. This kind of thinking is precisely the problem I was highlighting. People can't wrap their heads around MS being both a vascular and an autoimmune disease and so you get this kind of hogwash. Had my 6 month che...

Re: FlashHack is Liberated

Dr. Siskin was quite thorough. My jugs were fine, but he ballooned them anyway. Also went all the way up near my eyes. I'm quite confident that I didn't have jugular stenosis.

Re: FlashHack is Liberated

I'm actually pretty sure that they are. I had several symptoms that resolved after ccsvi surgery and have not returned. My only stenosis was in my azygos which has a high patency rate.

Re: FlashHack is Liberated

I'm way overdue in posting an update on my condition. I walked into my July 2010 CCSVI treatment using a cane for balance and left not needing one. My symptoms continued to improve for about 12 months. Then half of them started getting worse, mostly dealing with my lower extremities (numbness, stiff...

Thanks, Cheer! Well, I saw the head of Neurology at OHSU today. I related to him all of my improvements and he recorded them in my chart. I described my procedure and where the doctor had found stenosis. I asked him if he had altered his position on Zamboni's theories. He said he had not and then as...

Ooops! I named the location that should go unnamed in my thank you thread. I might be getting yelled at any time now. lol! I saw that. Hide your face in shame!! On another note, I just wanted to mention something I just noticed last night. I was lying there in bed worrying about the future and whet...

Two Month Anniversary

Well, two months down and still holding steady. I think I got all of the low hanging fruit in the first month. Now the going is slow as what is left must be nerve damage. That said, I am confident that the numbness in my hands and feet gradually recedes every day. The difference from day to day is h...

Tomorrow is the one month anniversary of my liberation. Since my last update I have noticed much fewer visual disturbances. In fact I am sitting here trying to think of the last time I had one. My vision issues typically came on after physical exertion and after lunch for some odd reason. The best w...

There is are doctors in Seattle that are seriously considering testing and treatment. The doctor who treated me offered to give the name of one (a friend of his) he is collaborating with if I felt like I was restenosing. When the the time comes you should check it out.

Bob, Perhaps it is easiest to just tell you how I got here. Sorry for the length, but I can't see anyway to shorten it. This whole odyssey started for me back on December 18th of last year when a long-time friend forwarded me a link to the CTV W-5 show on Zamboni. Like a pendulum my heart swung betw...

He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk...

Okay, my wife made me take a break from thisisms so I have been held up in a secret undisclosed location  . Thanks for everyone's messages of support and encouragement. I will most likely resign myself to only posting once a week or when I feel I have something significant to report. Let me ju...

I have edited my post to hopefully placate some of the more nervous MSers. It saddens me to think that I have offended anyone, especially Dr. Siskin. The fact that MY IMPRESSION was that he was LESS interested in academic MINUTIAE than he was in HELPING PATIENTS was meant to be a high compliment. I ...

I am happy for you and I am especially glad you are feeling better but for the life of me I can see no way that opening up a blockage in the neck can suddenly relieve urinary symptoms. I am also noticing a pattern among SOME people who get the liberation procedure. There is a sudden relief of SOME ...
