It is really a shame that some Neuro's are closed minded.

We recently went and saw a MS "Specialist", I asked about CCSVI, after my wife was told there was nothing they could do for her. The responce was don't waste the 20K, it is just a shame...

How do these people sleep at night?

I agree healthy control is a better term. I did not mean any disrespect to anyone.

How many volunteers would it take to have a good conclusion?

New Mexico does not have anyone doing this. Although there is a vascular surgeon that was recommened to me when I was looking around for capable of doing an MRV.

Emailed them a few questions, recieved a responce and a phone call the same morning...Very quick feedback!

DW is penciled in for late April ultrasound and treatment early May!

They are part of the American Access care system, and is listed in their ccsvi link. So that makes me feel better going to them.

wonder how many of the clinical trials funded by the NMSS are just using doppler ultrasound and/or MRV instead of venography. A lot cheaper to be sure but is it effective ? Just got a price from my local hospital friday...$1250 for the doppler, $750 for the venogram. I thought it was a bit odd, and...

Long time reader/lurker.
Wife has MS and is in decline also :(
I have her on the list for AHI in December, now lifeguard. Having a hard time overcoming her fear of the treatment and keeping her outlook positive.
