Sou´s statements are not extreme at all in a bad sense. Though I am curious about basis to conclude spasticity comes exclusively from damage in upper motor neurons. Generally speaking this does not seem to be the pathological path in MS. Do you have any material supporting your statement?

Rosegirl: also my only symptom that allows me to stand but prevents me from walking. Sometimes I feel that everything is in place (muscles, nerves,etc) but there is a missing factor that needs to be found to recover full mobility. Any idea or suggestion?

This takes me back to the issue of demyelination again. Is there conclusive evidence that damage of nerve tissue starts up by loss/breakdown of myelin? Would it be possible that latter ocurrs as part , and among other things, of damage of nerve tisue?

I tend to agree with dania in the sense that spasticity cannot be entirely well explained by nerve damage or lesions. There has to be something else !

I am trying to find out drugs to deal with spasticity thus improving mobility. Do you happen to have any info on Sativex which is apparently a new cannabis based drug recently approved in Europe aimed at reducing spasticity? Any other potential therapy suggested?

I am now 9 months post-procedure and everithing is going fantastic ! Everithing but spasms and spasticity that prvents me from walking. Has anyone have any idea or suggestion to follow other than classical muscle relaxing dugs (i.e baclofen) that did not work for me?
