Re: Cortical Grey Matter Hypoxia in MS

Wow, THAT's an interesting study, isn't it? I have had only one brain MRI that measured my brain perfusion. The results of the MRI said I had reduced brain perfusion, but the comments did not quantify HOW reduced, what percentage less than normal was I? I found that frustrating and also to me at the...

New study: Cerebral hemodynamics in patients with multiple sclerosis

Here is a study published online on June 17, 2020 that was conducted by Italian scientists. If someone else has already posted this study, I apologize for the repetition. It seemed like it might be relevant to CCSVI. I've copied the Highlights section below, but you can read the full study at: https...

Article on CCSVI in Veins and Lymphatics 2020; Volume 9:9053

Here is a link to a new article in Veins and Lymphatics 2020; Volume 9:9053. If someone else has already posted this, my apologies. I couldn't find any reference to it in my brief search of ThisIsMS CCSVI posts from this year. It discusses a re-analysis of the Brave Dreams trial, finding improved ou...

Re: Vascular malformations masquerading as demyelinating disease. May be the explanation?

Wow, I'd sure like to read that study, but its behind a paywall. It does list the highlights of the study which include: Highlights • AVMs/dAVFs can mimic demyelinating disease like NMO, ADEM, or transverse myelitis. • Symptoms of vascular malformation can be worsened if treated with steroids. • In ...

Hi Frodo, This seems like an excellent study that Joan should know about if she hasn't already seen it. I don't see a link to the study though. Can you post one? Thanks!

Re: Bosentan and chemical CCSVI

Thanks Frodo, Another good clue to MS. A long time ago I had an MRI that said my brain had reduced oxygen. I was amazed the doctor didn't seem to want to try to fix that. Reduced oxygen makes so much sense. I feel groggy all the time. And even though I used to be very smart, I feel like I'm trying t...

Re: vascular problems in the MS eyes

Interesting study! 5 out of 7 subjects with MS had this, that's a high percentage (71.4 percent). Even though a very small sample size. Hopefully they'll follow up with a larger study. Thanks for posting this study.

Re: Beijing Institute--neurosurgeons treating jugular veins

Hi Joan, Thanks so much for posting this. I think everything you have done so far to contribute to the sharing of information about CCSVI has been extremely helpful. Its not your fault that the western world of medical research has the limitations it does. That's incredibly good news that China is m...

Hi Cece,

Great find! I think you should share that eye study with Dr Sclafani and Dr Zamboni, in case they aren't already aware of it.

Hi Jimmilegs, Thanks for posting this! I also read today that there is some evidence that aspirin (a blood thinner) may help with MS. https://www.alzforum.org/news/research-news/could-aspirin-day-keep-multiple-sclerosis-bay I do really like the idea of optimizing naturally occurring vitamins though,...

I know its just mice, but it sure sounds hopeful.

CBD is legal where I'm located, so might be worth a try. I will keep searching ThisIsMS for more information on CBD oil for MS.

Re: Study on immune response in MS targets........

I found your old post from 2015 by searching for TLR9, which stands for Toll Like Receptor 9. The study you quoted and linked to seems related to this recent article in Scientific American titled: Brain’s Dumped DNA May Lead to Stress, Depression New research suggests genetic material from the mitoc...

Re: Altitude and blood flow

Hi Theskyking, I don't know the answer to your question and I'm not a medical professional, but if higher elevation makes blood thicker (as someone said earlier in this thread) and if CCSVI is real, and if a person has CCSVI, then it seems like living at lower elevation might be helpful since thinne...
