Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

DrS,
A post you made on your facebook page (11/2) indicated you were about finished with a paper about nutcracker syndrome. Is it completed and if so can you point me to it?
thanks

Re: Post if CCSVI treatment did NOT work for you

Although I find this thread a little scary, maybe it would be nice for readability if it could be more like the tracking threads, with less discussion of why the treatment didn't work. When I started this thread a year ago, I intended it to be reports from those that it did not work for since it se...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

DrS,
Questions for you... can you tell us about renal stent followup? Is it the same as jugular stent followup at 3 months? Can the flow be clearly seen on ultrasound? Have you seen any thrombus in a renal stent? How many cases of nutcracker syndrome have you diagnosed and stented?
thanks

Re: Major Diagnostic Breakthrough in Multiple Sclerosis Achi

In Aug, I had an upright MRI of my lumbar region after I took a fall and tore a disc at L5-S1.

Ironically, it was difficult for me to step up into the machine, as there is nothing to hold on to!! 8O The technician had to help me. Jeez.

Re: What veins should be checked besides IJV and Azygos?

Thanks for the welcome! pklittle, yes, I did have an awkward MS gait before and post stent my friends and family tell me I walk normally, except when overtired. I walk without assistance but tend to avoid going for a walk alone at night, or when overtired. My husband has been my cane on many occasi...

Re: What veins should be checked besides IJV and Azygos?

In response to pklittle, I am the patient who during my 2nd angio on July 18, 2011 had a stent placed in my left renal vein by Dr. Sclafani to correct my nutcracker syndrome. I believe it's on pg. 366 of his thread (I see that Dr. S has just posted another case of nutcracker). Since my jugular vein...

Re: What veins should be checked besides IJV and Azygos?

Here is a letter from a patient who had been previously treated for CCSVI. In a second procedure, she had only the renal vein treated. Any improvements after this second procedure are presumed to come from the treatment of the renal vein. http://www.thisisms.com/forum/chronic-cerebrospinal-venous-i...
