Wonderful news Cece. I'm also hopeful to be able to share happy news once my blood clot is cleared up.

Thanks for the info everyone, especially your links Cece. Thornyrose, I don't have a stent, I guess it is just the result of a little over dilation. It's so less depressing knowing that it could be the Coumadin that makes me feel this way. I go for my doppler again on April 18th, so I will probably ...

Blood Clot and Coumadin

Could this be the side effects of the Coumadin? I had the procedure done in Dec. and I developed a blood clot. For the past few weeks, I have absolutely no energy. I'm even having problems lifting my arms. Everything I do is a big effort. This is the worse that I've been since before I went to Polan...

Wow, just catching up on all the posts here since I have not been on for a few days. I'm so happy for you Cece. It took me a couple of weeks before the discomfort in my neck subsided and Tylenol helped. Thank you Dr. Sclafani for posting Cece's results since, I like everyone here, will be following ...

Dr. Sclafani mentioned that he had a hard time with my left jugular. In his report he mentions that it was quite difficult to get into the left internal jugular vein. There was multiple areas of abnormal valves and hyperplastic areas. I finally had two areas ballooned. I'm wondering if this explains...

I had my procedure on Dec. 23rd and had a my follow-up doppler today in Barrie, Ont. The technician found a blood clot in my left jugular. So she called my doctor to put me on blood thiners and bloodwork twice a week. I guess being on Lovenox for 21 days and then baby aspirin after wasn't enough! I ...

Hi Patrice, I'm assuming you are the same Patrice that I was in Poland with. Although our improvements didn't last, it was a fun time with everyone in our Tychy group! Wishing you a good trip and lasting improvements. If you are staying at Hotel LeBleu, the staff is great and breakfast is included. ...

I had this procedure done by Dr. Sclafani in Brooklyn, NY. The only thing my husband and I thought of, was how lucky we were to have someone so compassionate, smart and caring. The whole team at the clinic were wonderful and professional and I could not have gotten any better care. It was worth ever...

Dr. Sclafani, I have been wondering about something I read in a patient's blog of her procedure done by you. She said she was asked to raise her hands over her head (or maybe straight up?) when the azygous was being imaged. Did this help you see better? Does it increase blood flow to the azygous? I...

I'm Sue from the blog http://soobiz-live-love-laugh.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html (mentioned above). My husband and I drove to Brooklyn from Cornwall, Ontario Canada. I was treated on Dec. 3rd. To help Holly, if anyone has any questions that I can answer regarding logistics and our experience...

Welcome back Malinda, it is so good to hear from you. Leeann mentioned in one of her messages how we had some good laughs in our room that night. Laughing may be a reason for you having to stay longer but I also think that they took your bandages off way to early! I was just replying on the other th...

Your balance is much better and you were able to walk without your cane which is remarkable! I had my procedure the day after you and my improvements are more subtle. I do have more ener...

I have had so many people ask me about getting in with Dr. Kostecki that I put the information on my blog. I wrote this blog to update my family and friends on my progress but if it can help other people then I don't mind sharing. Here is the site: http://soobiz-live-love-laugh.blogspot.com/
