Re: What things make your MS symptoms feel worse?

As the name implies , I spend a lot of time in hockey arenas. The cold does really affect me. My feet get numb and extremely cold and I shake (I guess shiver). On the other hand, I love the heat.

Let me echo the same sentiments as above. I'm a simple hockeydad (with a university degree), so I'm intelligent enough to follow the diagrams and even , somewhat, understand what is being presented. It has helped me "get" what is happening in my own body. I just don't know enough to ask a ...

Will Dr. MacDonald be there too? Now, there's a Dr I give a lot of credibility. He had some very good results with a limited amount of patients, before he was shut down. Cannot do any procedues in Canada, yet participates in many symposiums and is still a strong advocate for us. Dr Siskin's office (...

I saw Dr Gray at St Mikes, now this was last year, but he wasn't very sympathetic to the CCSVI idea. Loved to talk about CRABs though.

Hey MM, sounds like me. I sat in the MS clinic in Toronto, doctor came to get me with his intern. They looked at my chart together, without even looking at me. Said something like "oh well, you have MS , actually CIF. with that gave me a bunch of literature from the different drug companies, a ...

You might have to go to Toronto, to Dr MacDonald's Barrie Vascular Clinic. Although, there are others springing up in Eastern Ontario.

That's my point. I can pay 9K or so with Dr Siskin, get treated and move on. Oh, and you have to wait a year as they do their study over that period.

I was invited as well to the study. Same thing, 600 people invited, 400 treated, 200 get the "sham". But, they still charge 10K or so to get in. If you get the treatment; fine, if you don't and still want it, they will charge you. How does that make any sense?

I just spoke to the clinic. They are now running a waiting list for both centers (Toronto and Port Perry). There's at least 100 people on the Toronto one. They seem to feel that they can get through it in a short while (ie; not next year!). They accept all provincial health cards, EXCEPT Quebec. Tho...
