Re: Experimental Tongue Therapy Helps Restore Brain Function

Hi, As promised, here is my feedback after 8 weeks with the PoNS: Actually, it's gonna be fast. As I fell in the stairs last week, my ankle got a bit twisted, so I was able to perform only 50% of the assessment. So, in summary, my balance was worst and my walking hasn't really changed. Anyway, asses...

Re: Experimental Tongue Therapy Helps Restore Brain Function

Hi, FYI : starting next week, the pons device cost will be cut in half as the cost was too high to recuit patients. New cost will be around 15K Helius needs data to get FDA's approval. As they plan to collect data from participants, cost must be affordable. The clinic in Montreal is almost empty....

Re: Can your life ever be normal again?

Hi, I was just giving my opinion about people with EDSS <1, telling that MS can lead to even a better life. I think these people don't really know what is it to have "strong MS". It reminded me a cute lady (she is a famous model) saying on a TV show, that people with overweight should not consider o...

Re: Experimental Tongue Therapy Helps Restore Brain Function

Did a reasonable number of the people you met have favorable results? No Not only my case but also the numerous MSers (&others)I met in the clinic who came cause of Doidge's book. Sorry Elliot for my very short answer. It's just that me + many others patients, are quite angry with Norman Doidge and...

Re: Experimental Tongue Therapy Helps Restore Brain Function

Hi, I will post my feedbacks regarding the PoNS treatment as I started it 4.5 weeks ago in Montreal. I will be glad to answer your questions if any. Hi Selma Blair is going for it https://www.healthline.com/health-news/actress-selma-blair-undergoing-stem-cell-treatment-for-multiple-sclerosis#What-researchers-know-about-HSCT A common misconception is that HSCT will reverse MS progress. It has only shown success in stopping MS activity. “Bone marr...

Hello,

Hope my comment won't hurt anybody.

I kind of agree with Robbie.

Zyklon,
If i remember well, your EDSS is 1 or even less.
If you were at 6, I'm pretty sure your speech would be different...

Re: MSRV Retrovirus, phase 2

Now it seems pretty clear that HERVs are the cause of microglial activation (the root cause of progression) and just a couple of years ago this was unknown. Hi Frodo, I trully hope, more than anybody, that Geneuro will provide something efficient to us. BUT, there is a HUGE difference between what ...

Cooling vest

Hi, As you all know, heat is our biggest enemy. => I met some MSers who strongly advise me to get a cooling vest. See the description in the video below (8'10'' in the video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAajNmciVJg It looks very interesting, so I will get one from amazon later today. Are some of...

Re: MSRV Retrovirus, phase 2

Hello, 1)I can read (Page 20) : "3.8% of patients with 12-week confirmed worsening in neurological disability from CHANGE-MS baseline to week 48 ANGEL (at 18mg/Kg)" =>So it's not working for everyone 2)I can also read (Page 21): Adverse Events for 44.2% of patients. That's HUGE! Point "1)" seems to ...
