Hi Shaight. I'm on Avonex. I chose because its only one shot a week. I have/had a severe needle phobia. It took a lot of working through to learn to self inject. But I got there.....Smokey

Update: I've had four jabs now and the "advertised" side effects are all there. 8 to 24 hours after the treatment I get headaches, high temperatures and chills and shivering, lasts abot 8 hours followed by a couple of days of feeling completely wipped out. The good news I suppose is that I'm obviou...

Thanks Cheer. I was puzzling over the results. I read the paper and just couldn't make sense of the conclusion. Very strange logic here.

Hi, it took a few months for the side effects to settle. Shivers, feeling seriously BLAH, and intense stomach aches. When I first injected, the side effects lasted about 12 hours. They still do but are a lot less intense. Usually. Occasionally I still get a bad reaction. I use Panadol.

Thanks for letting us know Salvatore. Great news. Yep. The tide is turning. Although that's a bit of an unfortunate metaphor in Australia right now.

The nurse said the top outer quadrant of the buttock is a good place and the most comfortable, the 2 injections I've had so far were on each buttock and the next 2 will be the thighs. My...

Hi David....no, none of these. I've been pretty healthy, well, as far as I knew, until the MS diagnosis. Smokey.

Hi Dania, Really really sorry to hear what's happened. I guess we are in the unfortunate minority of people who go on to develop thrombus and/or our veins collapse. I had 2 stenosis in the left IJV high up. Good response to the first angioplasty. The effects lasted about 2 weeks. With the second ang...
