Hmm, I wonder, I never had an MRA.

Is this the article? http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/742238 The thing I find interesting about this is, if the below which is quoted from the MS Society of Canada's web page is true... "Most people (about 80-85%) are diagnosed with the relapsing-remitting form of MS. Over time, from 50 to 7...

OR

Maybe this study (which is essentially just a snap shot in time) shows that in this highly variable condition (that is MS) those with increased venous abnormality are more likely to develop more severe disability?

Interesting :?

Yea, they seem like they want to wait and see what the "seed" grants the MS Societies put out and researchers in other locations find and publish.

*SIGH*

I hope some good papers come out soon.

putting his money where his mouth is. But it's not "his" money, it is money Direct-MS has collected on the behalf of people like us. In the end he is just somebodies dad who may be trying to use his Dr. status to make life better for his family & son. Will this be to our benefit as we...

financial reasons (10 billion of them).
It would be so nice if we could quit trying to compare medicine to the oil and gas industry.

arteriogenesis = new artery growth

This is interesting though as new arteries are not much good without matching veins to bring the blood back to the heart. So I would think the two things have to be related.

I wonder if Dr. Steinman has had any luck going forward with his lisinopril investigations? Yea I know this is a drug but the idea that blood pressure medication could have a positive affect on cerebral perfusion seems a definite CCSVI parallel to me. One that could potentially prove useful someday ...

Hmmm, I wondered about this as well. Do you know if these papers were peer reviewed?

Now if this was a drug trial would they sit at home and try to reinvent the drug first or would they simply test what is recognised as the drug in question? I suspect they would use the drug in question. Now we have an imaging trial and the scientific attitude seems to be that they must reinvent the...

Dr McDonald has gone to Italy two times with techs. Agreed, I have been very impressed and happy to see Dr McDonald's efforts on this issue. I'm also happy to see UBC is going to make some efforts to look at venous imaging. In the intrest of saving time required to reinvent the wheel (as it were), ...
