Voice Change

Just passed the 9 month mark taking Copax and I feel a definite improvement in my symptoms. Unfortunately, I am also experiencing voice change, tight chest and gastro changes. Has anyone else experienced any of these problems? Did they last or do they pass?

Hi there and welcome to the pin cushion club. I started in early May of this year. I too had extreme anxiety at the start, both because of my lifelong fear of needles and the thought that I might get the IPIR (Immediate Post Injection reaction). I told my neuro and she gave me an anti-anxiety med wh...

Thank you for keeping up with this research. Of everything out there, I am firmly convinced the stem cell science is our greatest hope. 10 years is a long time but here I wait and if I can get into a trial, I will.

1. No, I did not know what it was. 2. No 3. RRMS 4. No, I find other sites to be juvenile and none engage in the thought provoking topics that are discussed here. This forum is definitely for thinkers and a place to vent intelligent questions and concerns. Other sites do not engage in that level of ...

I agree on the USF referal. If that doesn't work out, Dr. Donna Hill (at the University of Florida Shands Nuerology Center in Jacksonville) is an excellent neuro. It is a 4-5 hour drive from Clearwater but if you need a second opinion or consulting neuro, it might be worth your while. By the way, WE...

Yoga is really great for pain and spasticity. I have been doing it for 3 years and absolutely swear by it. I have balance problems too and sometimes feel kinda dumb when I can't do some of the poses. I've been looking for a smaller, more specialized class for folks that can't do some of the balance ...

Dave, My nuerologist pretty much followed the McDonald Criteria (I had only one lesion along with clinical symptoms at first and the multiple MRI's were used to detect additional activity in space and time). The elimination of other conditions is probably dependent on the neuro (and the patient). Wh...

Love, As you know, the diagnosis process is different for everyone. It took me two years and a whole lot of tests that eliminated other conditions before my MS diagnois. The spinal tap for me was the last test. In a period of two years, I had 5 brain MRI's, two cervical spine MRI's, one lumbar spine...

I had one course of IV SoluMedrol which was VERY effective at reducing numbness, tingling, weakness and leg pain during a relapse. I was given a prescription of Famotidine to keep stomach acid at bay, which worked. The IV was prescribed for 5 days followed by prednisone. I lasted two days on the IV ...
