Let me ask you another question then... For those who had thrombosis, were you prescribed with anticoagulants after the first intervention (when the stent was placed)? Or does thrombosis occur even when you're on anticoagulants?

Re: destroying valves

Not sure if we'll hear from you tonight or not! Did anything from the other doctors' presentations change the way you think on any aspect of CCSVI? i think mike dake made me think that some of the J2 and J3 narrowings might actually be stenoses more frequently that dr z and i think they are. But st...

Unfortunately my answer would be a YES to all three. My latest US (done 7 mos. after the procedure) showed a blood clot and therefore a 50% stenosis of the left jugular. (Clot wasn't there at 3 mo. check-up) And you can assume my symptoms are much worse. Did you do anticoagulants after the procedur...

Thanks for the replies, so far. I've had one stent placed in my LIJ and did angio in my RIJ. It did not work for me as I suspect the RIJ has restenosed. My doc thinks that I should have one stent in my RIJ as well but I am cautious about it cause there has been stories of thrombosis and even resten...

For those with stents in jugulars...

Hiya, With all that's been reported about the risks and benefits of stents, I wonder what actually happened for those who have them placed. Let me ask you then: 1. Did you experience a relapse/progression with stents? 2. Did your jugulars restenosed even with stents? 3. Did you have a blood clot (i....

Hi Mila, Please, give us an update on your situation regarding stents. Have you felt improvements following your second procedure? Has your MS progressed? I have done the procedure in July but will go back soon for a check-up as I've expereienced a small relapse in September. The doctor suspects the...

Hi,

Does anyone have any information about the rate of thrombosis following the placement of stents in the jugulars? I heard that there has been many cases but I've only seen a couple of them reported here. More evidence, please.

best,

Dear Dr. Sclafani, Here is my situation... I've done the procedure in July the 8th to correct stenosis in the LIJ and RIJ and three in the azygos. Dr. Martins Pisco put a stent in my left jugular and did angio in the right and in the azygos. I felt some small improvements right afterwards but they ...

Dear Dr. Sclafani, If we assume that the CCSVI theory is right then how can the following have an impact on bloodflow/MS lesions forming issues: a) Posture and position: is it better/worse to be in the supine or lying down position? Can having a bad posture have an impact? b) Physical exercise: doe...

Hi all, I have been using the inclined bed therapy for a couple of weeks now. I am feeling some positive results: I sleep better, have less spasms, no sleep apnea and basically any other weird, MS related symptoms, which made sleep difficult has regressed. The only problem is that during the day my ...
